"We rented the whole house and overall we had a good time, but probably wouldn’t rent here again. The house was not very clean when we got there. Luckily we brought some cleaning stuff so we cleaned it up and felt better about it. The one side had small gnat looking bugs all over the ceiling when we arrived as well as in the bathroom on side B. I assume because maybe the cleaning people or the people before us had the door open and they flew in, but it was kind of gross that the cleaning people...

"There’s no way we can adequately describe how wonderful a place this is! My husband’s first words were how big the cabin is. Pictures don’t do it justice. It is obviously beautifully and very thoughtfully laid out. There’s the sleeping area, but also a whole living room space as well. We had a good time reading, playing guitar and studying in front of the beautiful window! Loved that we could get up and make a cup of coffee right away without leaving our cabin. So many thoughtful touches to make...

"This was our second time staying here and we have booked it again for next year, so that pretty much says it all. Very, very well equiped kitchen, plenty of room for our 6 adults and 8 kids to spread out and a great deck with a large shady area which was our salivation with the temperature in the 90's every day. And as always Shannon the host was very responsive. And my 10 year old grandson won the connect 4 tournament this year! The owners even upgraded one bedroom from a queen to a king bed this year, which was a pleasant surprice to my son and daughter-in-law who stayed in that room last year and this year."

"This is a lovely home! The kitchen is well stocked and much better than others we’ve visited. The dock area is perfect for kids and adultswith seating. The lily pad was big fun as were the kayaks. My only recommendation would be to change check-in time to three instead of 4 PM and check out change it from 10 AM to 11 AM."

"We had a great time during our July 4 family trip!! We had 7 adults and 2 children, 3 and 10 years old. While there I had some questions and the owner responded quickly. The kitchen is very well equipped too! The reason I gave a 4 star rating is because we had to wash and dry our bed linens, towels and kitchen towels before checking out. I didn’t know that when I booked it. With a family of 9, that’s a lot to get done by 10 am check out, plus packing up the vehicles etc. Someone in our family read a review about kayaking and how they didn’t have enough paddles to use the kayak and canoe together. So we brought our own kayak paddle. FYI- The house has 3 levels and I couldn’t tell that from the photos. All in all we had a wonderful trip! Thank you to the owner Dawn!"
