In a lovely location, very quiet. Used the hotel as a stop off on the long drive down to Lands End airport. Room lovely and comfortable. Staff professional and friendly.
It was our second stay at Combe House and we really enjoyed it with a beautiful room and a lovely staff.
As well , this hotel is so ideal to explore the Quantok Hills and you don't even need your car to walk around.😊
We went for our honeymoon as it was where I proposed, the staff were lovely, food was amazing as always.
Thankfully it was sunny all but one of the days but when it rained there was cosy areas to sit inside.
This hotel is in a secluded and beautiful spot in the Quantocks. The room was lovely, and we had an amazing night's sleep because it was completely quiet. Also, there is ample parking, and it is dog-friendly.
The continental breakfast is included in the price, and it was very good, with lots of choices.
Lovely property in a beautiful location. Great food in the restaurant and nice outdoor garden seating with small river in the background.

Disliked: Staff & service
Nice big room, really excellent dinner, but let down by the rather negative staff. Also, there is no mobile coverage which is understandable in an area of outstanding natural beauty, but it's a bit cheeky to charge £2.50 for wifi - I think the last time I had to pay for wifi in a hotel was in Italy about 10 years ago!!
A good three-day break in a comfortable hotel in a beautiful country setting. Food was tasty and well presented. Icing on the cake was the wonderful staff who were welcoming and attentive.
The staff were exceptional & went out of their way to help with taxis & accomodating 2 weary, hungry travellers for an excellent lunch even though they were due to stop serving 2 minutes after we arrived - we were very grateful!
A lovely hotel on the edge of an AONB and the Quantock Hills rwally are a lovely part of the world. We had a great walk via Bicknoller Post to the village of Bicknoller and back by a different path.
Food was lovely and we had some good wine
Second time we have stayed at Combe House. Once again the facilities were very good, the staff were efficient and polite and service quality was excellent. We dined in the evening and the menu had sufficient variety and the food was very good. A quiet hotel in lovely surroundings. Highly recommended
The hotel was full of character, charm and extremely welcoming. Our room was perfect and was very clean and comfortable.
The staff upon our welcome, right through to our goodbye were very helpful and polite. We'd also like to say a specific thank you to the lady on Reception on Tuesday morning who helped us to arrange booking a taxi!
The lack of phone signal was actually a welcome benefit, allowing us to 'switch off' and enjoy the surrounding countryside, which even on a rainy Tuesday was beautiful.
Thank you so much again for your hospitality and making us feel so welcome!

2 night stay
Nice spacious bedroom, thought we'd booked bed and breadfast as stated on booking, but if you want anything cooked you have to pay £10 pp a little odd as we do lots of bed and breakfasts and have never come across this. Basically just cereals , yogurt, some friut and toast. It says on the menu pastries, but on the two breakfasts we had there weren't any. Asked for the evening meal specials and again ran out. Apart from dining experience, hotel ok for walkers and somewhere to sleep and visit surrounding area. The gardens are pretty and well maintained.
When we realised we would be arriving outside of check-in times, I called the hotel number (from their website) and they made sure we would still be able to get to our room. Room 17 was lovely, particularly enjoyed the bathtub after such a long drive, the water was very hot! Rooms were immaculate, quality towels and bedding. Peaceful at night, I slept very well. Breakfast was included, cooked items were an extra cost, but I was more than happy with the buffet provided. I enjoyed reading about the history of the building in their information guide. I spoke to a lady in the morning about the possibility of checking out late, as we had arrived so late the night before and they were able to let us stay a while longer. We didn’t get any mobile signal there, which I didn’t mind, and there was the option to pay a small fee for the password to their Wifi. There was a phone in the room and we were able to make outgoing calls, so this was enough for us to keep in touch with family.
Amazing overnight stay in this cute little hotel
Very comfortable rooms and excellent food
Have recommended to 2 friends already and will be returning soon
