disappointing
I was extremely disappointed when firstly arriving the main bedroom's fan was really dirty and had guck on all rotors which had splashed on all 4 walls part of this was cleaned up after speaking to the property manager and he arranged some cleaners to come in . Unfortunately the fan remained dirty because you needed a high ladder to reach it which the cleaners did not have. The main windows to the deck were also filthy along with the BBQ plate which I spent some time to clean. While opening the back windows some did not work. The actual back door was locked and no key was provided thus any movement to hang clothes was a walk around the house. After speaking with agent owner decided not to provide a back door key . The upstairs bathroom had no exhaust fan and again the windows did not open . There was only 1 exit from the house which would be deemed a fire hazard. Entering the house through a heavy double garage door was not acceptable as my GF found it difficult to manage. The dining area is close to the stairwell and there was a steel bracket that holds the step pad which 3 of us all hit we eventually wrapped a tea towel around it as it was a hazard . Generally the house was a huge disappointment . I realize it was advertised with no WIFI and we had use of a DVD player but no library was provided and the house sits in a dead phone area . I've stayed at Stradbroke Is at least a dozen times and by far this has been the worse house I've stayed in .
