Courteous and welcoming reception desk.
Very well appointed room with lovely period furniture.
Superb food in the restaurant, both for dinner and breakfast.
Room was very clean and spacious with the biggest cosiest bed. Nice variety of drinks in the room. Bathroom facilities very good. We used the hotels restaurant and the food was outstanding. Lovely cosy fireside seating to relax into. We will definitely return.
Friendly from start to end. Good food. Good atmosphere
in lovely rural setting, but just two miles from M5. We were travelling down from the north west to the West Country and back, and it was a perfect breaking point for our journey.
A beautiful hotel in extensive grounds. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent.
The only problems we encountered was the tiny bathroom with a low beam which resulted in banging ones head if not extremely careful, and the room door which could be closed only by giving it a loud bang, and the handle being prone to fall off.
A really comfortable stay, and a great night's sleep, that felt miles away from the hustle and bustle of Bristol, but still close enough to other amenities that you don't feel isolated. I didn't have dinner on this occasion, due to other commitments, but the menu looked very enticing. Breakfast was well presented and tasted amazing. Just what i needed whilst working away from home.
A Hidden Gem of a Hotel. Staff Are All very Friendly and made us Feel very Welcome. Food is First Class. Grounds are very well Manicured. Excellent base for Visiting Bristol, but you will need a Car as Hotel is off the Beaten track.
I only had a quick visit to Berwick Lodge, late arrival and early departure , but it was a very comfortable stay with a lovely breakfast in the morning. A little pricey compared to others but still nice regardless. Will happily return
Was an amazing experience, extremely comfy bed, such a unique room and a great bathroom too. Will definitely come back. Only issue I came across was the walls are quite thin so could hear the reception area from our booked room and the room above ours had squeaky floors, so could hear them move about and use their shower. Was only a minor inconvenience
Great stay, very comfortable although not a fan of the sloped roof in the India Mews. The soundproofing is a little poor, as could hear neighbours marching around. Otherwise, staff were excellent and attentive, the breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh options and the grounds are spectacular. You feel transported to another, classier and more wonderful era.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
I upgraded the room on arrival. I asked for extra milk and tea on evening and had to ask again the following morning as we didn’t receive it. Upgraded room was lovely staff always friendly but our room had mould in shower I did report this to reception. I thought they might of discounted the bill on check out but didn’t which surprised me.
Huge room with all the usual amenities and lots of character. Attached bathroom was nearly as big with a roll top bath and walk in shower.
Excellent service in the restaurant at both dinner and breakfast. Food was very good.
Would definitely stay again
