"What an amazing find. I have been going to Brixham since I was 6 years old (now 40) and had never stayed here, but so happy I did.
Super friendly staff and the breakfast was amazing.
Keep it up guys! I would definitely recommend and stay again without hesitation."

"We absolutely loved staying at The Barbican Hotel.
It’s in a great location, near the beach and town.
We were greeted so kindly and looked after so well.
Our room was fresh and bright, very comfortable and clean.
The breakfast was wonderful! Well cooked and presented!
I can honestly say, we couldn’t have chosen a better guest house!
Thank you for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming!"

"This is a hotel in a perfect location. It is so beautiful to look into the bay and so wonderful to be able to go on the most incredible coastal walks from the doorstep. Great to take the boat to Salcombe and explore from there.
The room was lovely, but we were on the ground floor and looked out onto the bay, but also the decked area; so it wasn't very private.

"Amazing characterful hotel. Chandeliers were a wonderful sight. Huge areas to sit and relax. Wonderful views across the bay. Sadly the service in the restaurant was extremely slow. A word of apology with an explanation would have helped. But we were just left sitting and waiting…… The restaurant was not that busy. Maybe that was the reason why!
Our starters arrived around 50 minutes after we ordered them. Plated up with very little imagination. The main course arrived within a short space of time, but again it looked very uninspiring. The Salmon could have had a wedge of lemon and a sprig of parsley to dress it up a bit! A big letdown when the hotel itself is so welcoming."
"Cleanness of the room was very good bin and towels change daily. Staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast not bad good been quick replacing item that run out.
Only thing wrong was not window good open.
Because I like fresh air it helps me breathe better"

"The room itself was dated and the window a health hazard very bad the bathroom had mold and silicon arlund shower and very small to small for me and door screen came of curtaians hanging and dirty then we went to have tea at alberts bar and was very dissapointed the lady that served us did not even work there she was handed a badge from the girl who did work there she got order wrong and thought it was funny when we mentioned it afyer asking 4 times the order was wrong then she left after eating her dinner with the chef so we were not impressed the same as the pool having scafold over it and jucussi not working and we were not told about the additional parking at £10 a day the beer was not good as glasses were not clean and as a result me and my son were ill for 7days will not be returning"
"Lovely family friendly hotel. Only down sides upon arrival we were asked to pay a deposit per night for potential damages even though we had fully paid in advance of our stay. This wasn't mentioned when booking and we were told we couldn't check in until we made the payment. Hotel was noisy at night as we were on the second floor and had people above us, below us and all around. The fire doors in the corridors slam constantly through the night with people returning to their rooms at all hours. We had an adjoining door in our room which just had a bolt on it which went into someone else's hotel room which worried me when travelling alone with a young child and wasn't mentioned upon booking. We had noisy people in the next room with young children who kept trying to open the adjoining door. Unfortunately the indoor pool , changing rooms and spa facilities were unavailable during our stay due to refurbishment. They do not have enough sun loungers around the pool and people fill the ones available with towels to save them hours before they swim. breakfast was great with a good choice of pastries, cereal, fruit and hot food. My daughter loved the outdoor pool. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We loved it is a dog friendly hotel. In a great location right by the beach and a lovely park. We enjoyed the walk down the pier, shops and restaurants. There's a lovely library area in the hotel and we also had a safe inside the wardrobe in our room. We would stay again."
