Compared to the long list of economical cabins we have stayed at, this one was a bit of a disappointment. It lacks general upkeep. The beds are old and noisy. The bedding old and faded. Big black stains on the cheap carpet and the wood floors were sticky. The bathroom floor had a good sized soft spot. The tiolet seat was peeling. There were light bulbs missing or blown. The top brace of a set of blinds in the bedroom had broken in half at one time and had been haphazardly electrical taped back together. There was one key in the lock box and an empty hook inside where the second key should be. The TV was confusing and no directions how to work it. There were boards for future repairs (I'm guessing) laying on the floor in the kitchen. The trash can was a laundry basket. The decor was non-existent with the exception of a log chip with the phrase,"Dad is Awesome" finger painted on it's face. Did not feel clean inside..The "playground" was 4 posts with an elevated platform (sliver city) and a slide. There was an ancient leaning swing set and a "rec shed" with no rec equipment inside. The location is great. The outside area, with exception to the playground,, is where this place shines. There is a community kazebo sitting area which looked new and cozy. Nice little yard to play with the kids. The grounds were well manicured with cool retro metal signs hung on the structures. Each cabin (there are 4) had a great little fire pit with multiple new looking chairs that were perfect. The driveway was made of crushed stone which was a great touch. Overall, it was a positive stay. I think if the owner invested $100 to repair/replace some items, and hire a more thorough cleaning crew, it would go a long way. It definitely fell short of our expectations; however, it has a lot of potential. Unless the cabins get a complete renovation, I think I would rather spend a little more money stay somewhere else. Just because something is cheap, i
