“My best friend and I got to experience what relatively few Americans will ever experience - sleeping in a real castle! What an experience! The grounds were beautiful, overlooking a flowing river and a gorgeous wooded area. The walk to the quaint town of Peebles was fabulous. Indeed, I can think of NOTHING of this one night experience for us that was amiss. We had the whole castle to ourselves. The accommodations were more than comfortable. In the room, we had a plethora of snacks and breakfast……

The room was a standard double with a very comfortable bed but the bathroom was poorly designed with a very small toilet seating area next to a small wash handbasin installed with a large surround which, if smaller, would have made using the toilet more comfortable.
