Nice place to stay in Budapest

The Family room with shared bathroom is comfortable and clean. The hostel has a kitchen and nice shared area. Located in a very central place in district 7. Can have a little outside noise at night but not a big deal in my experience.

Great location, clean room

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at BlackSheep Smart Rooms. I was hesitant when I realized it was a smart, electronic check in, but am glad I decided to stay here. Check-in was done the day before on my phone and the key was ready by the time I arrived in Budapest. I booked one of the rooms with a balcony and was lucky with the weather! One of the doors for the other rooms was quiet noisy with other guests entering and leaving, but otherwise it was as quiet as you can get with the location. I would recommend staying here - but make sure you've got a battery bank if your phone's on its way out.

It was a wonderful stay in Budapest! The hostel is easily reachable from the airport. After taking our room, We could get quiet quickly to most of the places We wanted to visit during our stay, thanks to the good location and the well designed public transport lines in the capital. The hostel was in an apartment house. Our room and the common areas were very-very clean. We loved our balcony, got a great view to the city! Moreover, We had a great coffee machine in the kitchen, the coffee was free. Thank You so much again for accomodating Us! See You again in summer time!

Great choice for price

This hostel was very nice and well equipped. The virtual key service was broken for most of our stay so they gave us a defaults key card, but when it worked again it was fine. Location is great but pretty loud on the weekends so this is something to note. Only negative aspect was the coffee machine would break randomly but as it was an added service, not the hugest deal. You get your own space in the fridge and a full kitchen to cook if you’d like.

Absolutely impossible check in, trying to be so automated but if it doesn’t works it’s not worth it Sent too many emails with too much info only found the door code later than night in a previous email, electronic door opening wouldn’t work as blue tooth would work due to app problem Not a person in sight although they did answer the phone eventually

horrible. DO NOT BOOK here! the app DOES NOT work. myself and others were locked outside our room the entire night and no feedback from the staff. also if you do not have your phone with you or your phone is not working good luck opening the doors because you will not be able to contact anybody. their reception opens from 11am- 7pm. anything issues will not be resolved.

Misleading and uncomfortable.

The check in process was a disaster-I knew it was going to be remote, but I was not informed we had to download an app and put in a whole bunch of information before hand. The reservation was misleading because it says “air-conditioning”. But there is NO air conditioning in the rooms, only the common area. It was very uncomfortable and hard to sleep. We were also suppose to have a balcony, but did not have one. The corner of the bed was sharp and I scratched my leg on it and have a mark (thankfully there was no blood). And when I sent emails, there was no response except to one. Plus, one of the bathrooms does not lock or shut all the way, so watch out which one you use! In summary, this property was uncomfortable, misleading, and has very poor communication. Visit Budapest, just do not stay here.

Phantastisch, aber Check-in Probleme

Eines der schoensten Hostels, in dem ich jemals war. Der Ablauf des Check-in war allerdings schrecklich. Mir wurde aber versprochen, dass die Information verbessert wird. Beim Anmeldetool steht, dass man sein Handy 15 entfernt vorhalten soll. Das kann nicht geaendert werden, aber in der Email, die man erhaelt, wird nur beilaeufig erwaehnt, dass es anders ist. Mir wurde versprochen, dass in der Email in Zukunft sehr deutlich gemacht wird, dass da ein Fehler im Anmeldetool ist. Ausserdem war die Hotline nicht sofort erreichbar. Ausserdem fehlte die Ersatzkarte, mit der man in Zimmer kommt. Ausserdem ist des Signal zu schwach.
