We have been to Buenos Aires over eight times and have stayed and multiple hotels around the city, therefore I believe to have a good point of reference. This is without a doubt the best hotel in Buenos Aires! The rooms although on the small side, are perfectly decorated in a classic style. The staff is phenomenal: they greeted us by our names (how do they do it!), knew that we had two reservation one week apart, offered us to leave things at the hotel to reduce our load while traveling around the country since we were staying there our last night before leaving the country, and on and on. The staff is just superb. We also ate at their restaurant and its a french culinary delight and highly recommended also. I will look no further....this is where I will always stay in Buenos Aires and look forward to my next visit!

Great service, good room, delicious breakfast

Staffs were kind and every staff used perfect English. Room was great, got upgraded room. Breakfast was delicious with various options, hot meals and buffet tables with various bread, cereals, potatoes, bacon etc. Could not use swimming pool and sauna as I did not bring swimming suit. It would be good if hotel provide it. There was a small miscommunication on my reservation between CS section and front desk, but it was quickly solved.

O Sofitel Buenos Aires é um ótimo exemplo de Hotel urbano com classe, requinte, excelente serviços e gastronomia exemplar. A localização é muito boa, próximo à Recoleta e a Calle Florida, em uma rua discreta e sem barulho. O apartamento De Luxe é perfeito para casal, com bom espaço de circulação, banheiro grande e isolamento acústico. O café da manhã não apresenta uma variedade tão grande como em outros hotéis da rede Sofitel que eu já me hospedei, no entanto, todos os itens oferecidos são de excelente qualidade. Os colaboradores do hotel são sempre atenciosos e muito gentis. A limpeza e arrumação dos quartos foi perfeita e as 04 garrafas de água mineral oferecidas pelo hotel diariamente foram muito bem vindas uma vez que o valor cobrado pelas bebidas do frigobar é bastante elevado. Voltaremos ao Sofitel Buenos Aires, com certeza.

Nice but poor value

Nice hotel of average facilities with helpful, friendly staff. However, details which should be basic for the price level are overlooked and general pricing is exorbitant for value offered. Examples: Lamp in living area of suite didn't work Scales in bathroom didn't work Plug for desk didn't work Lift didn't work correctly and trapped us for several minutes Pre-ordered newspaper didn't arrive Breakfast area not ready at 9am forcing a wait outside in the lobby A mediocre meal for two without dessert is overpriced at $3000 Not competeitve with other hotels in Buenos Aires of similar pricing.
