“Good location, very friendly staff and clean room ”

“Stayed at a handful of hostels and this one's in a class of its own. Bunk beds are comfortable and private, with plenty of lockable storage underneath. The space is clean, warm, and genuinely well put together. Staff are friendly and they set the tone for the place. Taco Tuesday is not to be missed. Easy in and out, free parking just a block away. And the location speaks for itself.”

“Very nice location, walkable to a lot of great restaurants and bars. The room seemed newly renovated and was very clean however the AC unit was very noisy! The parking lot spaces are very small and difficult to get into if you have a SUV or larger. The hotel staff very helpful and welcoming! Would definitely recommend staying here!”

“Customer service wasn’t the greatest. Our air-conditioning didn’t work. The property was pretty dirty. Check-in was at three, but we didn’t get checked in until after 5:30. Very rude staff. They didn’t move us into another room after the first night complained about it the first night of the air conditioner said they’re gonna send a maintenance guy in the morning went to the office maintenance guy didn’t even know we’re having any idea what I was talking about then finally said it’s a compressor……

“I would strongly suggest anybody looking to have an enjoyable visit to San Diego to avoid booking a stay at this property. I ended up staying at the Mission Bay Hotel and resort which all a better value and cleaner. Mission Bay Motel is a dump.”

“If I could give negative stars I would. I attempted to check into this property with a car full of kids after driving 5.5 hours and I could not get into the the house. The check in instructions said to enter the code which I did, and the lock appeared to open, but when I pressed in the thumb latch, the door would not open. As a fellow Airbnb host myself, I am familiar with the Shlage keyless entry system and I thought perhaps the housekeepers had accidentally locked the deadbolt. So I went……

“It was a very pleasant trip. My child really liked this hotel. The staff were very enthusiastic. It was very close to the beach, about a 5-minute walk away. The hotel's swimming pool was also very clean. In short, our whole family recommended it”
