You couldn’t ask for a better location to see Canterbury. The staff was wonderful, breakfast was good, rooms very clean. However, it’s a 700 year old building with lots of stairs and uneven floors. If you like stepping back in time and don’t mind wonky, it’s a great place.

Very nice old building, immediately adjacent to the entrance to Canterbury Cathedral ticket office. Centrally located on the Royal Mile. The main downside is that parking is about 1/4 mile away and Ubers and Taxis can only get you within 100 yards of the door

Not only was the hotel beautiful with spectacular views, but, the staff were so welcoming, friendly and accommodating. From start to finish every member of staff was so lovely. Thank you so very much for our wonderful stay.

The hotel’s location right next to the entrance to the Canterbury Cathedral is unbelievably convenient. The hotel is beautifully decorated and maintained. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to help and make your stay an unforgettable experience! A great location in Canterbury. Right next to the cathedral. Clean, well organised room. Full room service each day. Lovely breakfast. Cereal, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants and toast and jam. Bottled water available for guests to take for day trips etc. Great for the hot weather. Staff were very helpful, polite and professional. Highly recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this almost 8 century old hotel with Alice in Wonderland maze of hallways, tilted floors and lichen/moss encrusted roof tiles. Location is perfect, rooms quiet/clean, beds comfortable, staff kind and welcoming.

First of all, can't beat the location of this boutique hotel. It's right next to the cathedral gate and of course a minute walk to the cathedral. It's centrally located around shops and restaurants. We only stayed 1 night at the property, but we had the best experience. The hotel staff was wonderful and very accommodating. We were able to check in right away and the rooms were ready when we checked in at noon. They were very helpful and made sure that all our needs were met. One of our friends left his phone in the reception area, and their staff chased us all the way down the street to give his cellphone, helped us booked a taxi reservation, and provided all sorts of recommendations. Our stay also came with a simple continental breakfast which is a plus. I would recommend this hotel and will stay again when we come back to Canterbury.
