「The cottage is cozy and has most everything you need for your stay. There is WiFi but it is extremely slow, usually only 1-2 Mbps. The grounds are beautiful with quite a few trails to hike, unfortunately for us it rained almost everyday we were there. 」

My wife's family is from Nicoya and we have stayed in the area 35 years. Ruben's house WOWED us. It blended into the tropical landscape, was only one floor, but was HUGE. 「The house was clean, and the host responded quickly. The house is across the street from the lake but has a nice view of the lake. The 5-10 minute drive is challenging with the rocks/washboard road, but as long as you take it slow it is okay.」

「This place was great. Extremely close to the cloud forest reserve. The property manager went above and beyond. We got a home made breakfast brought to us every morning that was delicious. She arranged adventures for us to partake in nearby and followed up when a shuttle didn't arrive as previously scheduled. We had a wonderful experience at this property and highly recommend booking with Christina and supporting a Costa Rican if you are visiting Monteverde!!! You won't be disappointed.」
