"We had a great stay at Madame Gochaye's rental, very clean and modern, the pool is fantastic for young kids and the deck is great for relaxing. Definitely need a car as it's located a short drive out of Sainte-Francois. The hosts were very welcoming and it was lovely to be greeted with some local rum punch and snacks when we arrived. We were a family of four and it was perfect for us, the listing notes that it can accommodate six but I think it would be quite cramped with more than four. Only...

"A fun and unique experience in Guadeloupe. We enjoyed the Creole style house with a view of the ocean and pool. We generally enjoyed the openness but, as others have said, you should bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper due to the evening noises from bugs, roosters, etc. Bug spray is helpful but the mosquito nets do a great job of keeping bugs away at night.
