We got in late but the owner was quite understanding and made us feel at home. Everything was clean and functioning. Next morning, the breakfast was very good and our host sat down and chatted for awhile. Very interesting local stories about the revolutionary and civil wars wars. Before we left, we got a few recommendations for restaurants in our next stop. Very nice overall.

The room was large with a wonderful balcony overlooking the water. The view was outstanding. We were received by the owner who we enjoyed talking to. We felt comfortable immediately. We left early the next morning and had a delicious homemade muffin and fruit for breakfast.

Baywood in offers and incredibly relaxing stay with superb views. The owner is a wonderful host, offering good information and a really nice breakfast. The bed is super comfortable and the rooms are very amble- with lots of space you usually do not find. Highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing stay on the Eastern shore.

This place is a gem! Just a convenient eight miles from the town of Cape Charles, this 3 room inn sits on its own private beach in its own little oasis of peace and beauty. The room was comfortable and well appointed, and the host is very friendly, helpful and welcoming. I really felt like a guest in someone’s home. I highly recommend the Baywood - the in town properties look very nice but everything is so easily accessible that it’s more than worth it to stay in this off the beaten path spot and enjoy the privacy and hospitality. We will definitely be back.
