The most affordable BEACHFRONT vacation rental in Cape Charles/200 FEET FROM THE BEACH with access walkway over the dunes. Step out the front door and be on the white sand beach in less than a minute. The Cottage sleeps 8 with 3 bedrooms and two baths plus a queen size sofa bed in the Living Room. The Living Room and Sunroom face the Bay with spectacular sunsets. The dining room seats 6+ and conveniently located off the modern kitchen. A large patio offers comfortable outdoor seating with a full size gas grill. The property offers off street parking for your convenience. Plenty of room for a boat.

Bedrooms 1 and 2 offer queen beds and bedroom 3 offers two twin beds. As mentioned, there is a queen size sofa bed in the Living Room and a portable pack and play. The cottage works well for a family or a group of friends to spend a beach vacation in a charming town where everything is within walking distance.

Cape Charles offers an array of dining and shopping. Charter fishing, kayaking and eco tours let you experience the amazing ecosystem this area offers. Bring your boat and launch off the public boat ramps of Cape Charles, Kiptopeake or Oyster. Rent a golf cart while you're here as Cape Charles is golf cart friendly.

If you feel like venturing out of town, Cape Charles is conveniently located for great day trips to Chincoteague, Virginia Beach, Busch Gardens and Williamsburg.

Perfect location. The beach just across the street. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely porch facing the sea comfortable living room, large dining room. The only caveat, even though two bathrooms, the one off the kitchen was very, very small and the shower not really usable. But I would stay here again!

The property's location is perfect. There is plenty of space to park a car plus a golf cart. We enjoyed the quaint, original kitchen. The check-in instructions were easy to follow. Overall it was a comfortable, convenient stay. Cons: with no dishwasher, we saw that previous renters had not put away their utensils or some cups clean, which made us doubt the cleanliness of anything in the kitchen. There was hair and dust bunnies in the main bathroom soap dish. The washing machine had some gunk where the softener and detergent go. All-in-all, the price and location couldn't be beat.

Perfect location & exactly as advertised

I recently stayed here with my partner and 2 friends. There was plenty of space for 4 adults, including a few of us working remotely. The sun room was our primary hangout spot even though there was room to spread out. We loved the location. The house is dated. The second bathroom is very small. We did have to bring our own beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels. The kitchen is fully stocked. The bedrooms are comfortable - including window a/c units.

Great location- accurate description

My sisters, mom and I decided that cape Charles was a half way point to meet for a long weekend. The house was more affordable than others, it had a nice layout with a few places to sit and hang out. Our favorite was the sun room. Furniture is outdated but the space was perfect and we enjoyed our coffee there. The outdoor seating was great as well and we spent a few evenings out there as well . A short walk to town and a short walk to The beach. Parking was fine on the street for all 3 cars. Overall a nice stay in a quaint town with great commonality. Easy to get the key and drop it off. Clothesline outside is a really nice touch!

Great home!

This house exceeded expectations! While it isn’t new and updated, it’s perfectly clean, cozy, comfortable, and spacious. The house is fully stocked with everything we needed and more. Cannot beat the location directly across from the beach and just minutes from the shops and restaurants. Highly recommend this for families with young children and anyone wanting a relaxing beach getaway.

This is a great little house. Right across the street from the beach! The house is portrayed accurately. It’s definitely older and shows some wear and tear but it was a perfect place to bring our young kiddos.

We loved the little cottage by the bay! This is the second time we stayed here. The location is wonderful and it feels like home away from home. I would love to see some improvements done to the home. a few updates would do wonders for this home! Oh and WHAT CAN WE DO ABOUT THE FLIES OUTSIDE! They were driving us crazy!!

Could use some attention to highdust/cobwebs. Windows haven’t been dusted in quite some time but the location made up for this. The back door rail is separating as are bricks creating a potential risk. Comfortable beds.

Beautiful views from the sunroom. Perfect location to walk to shop, restaurants, or the pier.

This home was very accommodating for my handicapped father. Spacious rooms and walkways as well as limited steps allowed him to enjoy a nice vacation in a beautiful town.

Perfect location.

The location of this property can't be beat. We could watch the sunset from the sun room, it was directly across the street from beach access and convient to downtown. The home was as described: well equiped kitchen, beds were comfortable and nice and spacious. We enjoyed our stay.

Disappointing stay but a great location

This was a disappointing stay in a charming town with a great location. The house hasn’t been updated in many many years which we knew going in, but I wasn’t expecting it to be so dirty inside. There was so much dust everywhere and the floors were disgusting. The bathrooms had terrible caulking and mold. The sink surfaces looked like they hadn’t been wiped down in quite awhile. I also found a dirty plate from another tenant sitting in another room. The wifi barely worked and was so slow. It was advertised as 2 bathrooms but the second bathroom just had a gross shower in it on the other side of the house not suitable for actually showering. So it was essentially one bathroom. There were also bugs all over the place. Gnats, crickets, spiders, flies. We will absolutely never return to this house, but we loved cape Charles in general. The location was very convenient to the beach which was truly the only saving Grace for this house.

Comfortable and convenient

Convenient beach access, sufficient dining space, relaxing sun room, all one floor, adequate climate control, comfortable arrangements. A minor con is no dishwasher, but we have no issues with that. There does seem to be some malfunction with the DVD player, although we did get it to work after continued effort. Bathrooms and kitchen are quite dated but function well, plenty of hot water. Many thanks to Chuck at Cape Charles realty for his attention, assistance, and kindness!

A Beachfront Getaway

Bay Cottage is a slice of heaven. We’ve never stayed so close to the water. Our group of 6 was comfortable and enjoyed every wonderfully decorated room. We didn’t mind not having a dishwasher and were thankful for the washer/dryer. We’ll be back!

Best house in Cape Charles

Best beach front house in Cape Charles. Nice and clean house located just across the street from the Beach access and easy walk to everything downtown. House was very clean and neat. Had everything we needed for a great Girl's Weekend. Don't worry about not having a dishwasher you will not miss it trust me. Beds were very comfortable. Will rent again.

Cute Cottage for a Beach Getaway

This was a cute cottage and perfect for our recent beach trip. It is right across the street from the beach and very convenient to shops and restaurants, which are only three blocks away. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and we enjoyed watching the sun set over the dunes from the front yard.
