Here is my fully honest review- This house is an outstanding example of Cape coral living on a canal! The layout of the house, the corner end lot private position on the street, and the amenities all make for a really nice place. Everyone liked it alot. We were sad to leave! Some of our favorites: Airfryer, the pool table and games, drinking games, the outdoor space and all the really comfortable reclining chairs! This owner likes comfortable seating that's for sure! The downsides (minor don't let them discourage you) No icemaker/water at fridge, the pool heater experience (and total waste of time and money that was), the lack of access to garage parking, no bikes, and no towel bars to dry towels. I highly recommend this place and would book again- hope they work on those few items between now and then. Thank you host

Lovely location on the canal which was wonderful for wildlife and sunsets. The house was nicely furnished and bright. However there are so many little things that need to be addressed and would easily be fixed to make it a perfect stay. The pool area only has two zero gravity chairs, one of which is broken. The green patio cushions were disgustingly dirty, as was the lanai itself (it also has a few tears in it, letting bugs in). The pool cleaner entered the pool area without as much as a knock on the door. The kitchen lacked a kettle, corkscrew and placemats of any sort. The dishes and glasses were all old, scratched and stained plastic, and not even enough for the number of people that this place can hold. No real dishes or glasses. No coffee table. Bedding was all bally and old, but we did find some new sets which we opened and used. Master closet had no working lights, and one sink didn't drain properly in the ensuite. Fridge temp setting didn't work properly, keeping everything too cold and freezing half our fresh food. The bbq was lined with foil, not allowing the fat to drain and causing fires. Worst of all was the slow and sometimes non existent response to our concerns. All of these are easily fixed and should be for the price of this place.

Beautiful house, needs new carpet

This house was beautiful, but for every benefit there was a drawback to go along. The master bathroom was incredible, vast and felt very luxurious - but the master bedroom carpet had been ruined by a pet, I'm assuming the person that stayed there before my family. It appeared that a dog had been marking the bed posts at the foot of the bed and there was no effort made to blot up the urine or clean the stains. And as a result the room smelled awful, like urine and so we moved our stuff out of the master and over into the other wing of the house and stayed in a guest bedroom instead. There was also a urine stain in one of the guest bedrooms on the other side of the house, but thankfully the room didn't smell like overwhelming urine so we were still able to use it during our stay. The pool was beautiful and the back patio was gorgeous, but it did require some cleaning when we arrived. There appeared to be some ash on the patio chairs/tables, possibly from someone smoking outside, so my husband had to wash the furniture down with a hose before we felt comfortable using them. But there were full propane tanks for both the grill and the fire table and we used both in the evenings to relax during our stay. The pool guys showed up on Friday for the weekly(?) cleaning and let us know that the pool's water level was too low and as a result the skimmer wasn't on, so there were small leaves from bushes in the landscaping collecting in the pool along with other debris. Some instructions for how to use/maintain the pool in the best working condition would be appreciated, definitely a need-to-have instruction guide at the house for those folks who are not pool-owners and don't know how to best take care of a pool for a week in order to enjoy it at peak performance. The kitchen and bathrooms had everything one would need for a comfortable stay. There were plenty of towels, wash clothes, pool towels and pool toys/inflatables available for use and it was much appreciated! This was a great house, yes it had some drawbacks and needed a bit deeper cleaning, but they company was easy to work with and if the carpet would be cleaned or replaced, I would absolutely love to stay here again and would definitely recommend it to others. Hoping to be back again some day.

Overall great stay

The property was just as described in the listing. Beautiful home! Home included a lot of amenities that we didn't expect that made the stay more comfortable. I must mention that the master bedroom does have a urine odor that was unpleasant. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there.
