"Room was clean. There are new owners (they are very nice and accommodating) so think they are trying to add some amenities. Newly installed hot tub. Rooms could use an upgrade like new paint. Baseboards and doors are worn. Beds are comfortable and the room is large with a small kitchen table/chairs, fridge and rocking chairs in the tv area. We were there two nights."

"We have stayed at the Chateau Rouge before and we enjoyed our stay here again. We did not do much cooking but the kitchen seemed well stocked. The covered patio in the back was a great place to sit and relax. We used the futon in the main bedroom as extra space to spread out a bit. We were thankful for all of the towels! The screen door on the back patio could be replaced to help get fresh air in without the bugs. The hot tub was not very hot at all but we enjoyed treading water in the...

"A great quiet retreat near the mountains. Loved meeting the animals, watching the stars at night, and exploring the area.A good portion of the drive in is on a dirt roads, but it’s easily accessible.Note there is limited use of electricity at night, so consider bringing portable chargers if you need to charge any devices."
