Lovely relaxing stay, wish it could have been for longer. Adrian and Ann-Marie are super hosts. The gite was clean and comfortable and well furnished with everything we needed. The outside deck was perfect for meals and relaxing in the afternoons/evenings after visiting local villages. And the pool was warm and a great size - we often had it all to ourselves. Would highly recommend.

Very dog friendly
It’s a really lovely place to stay, excellent hosts and a large garden with a large pool. It was ideal for us as we took our 2 dogs. Being right on the Canal de Midi it was ideally placed for dog walks, cycling etc. The local bar is a10 minute walk away and we used it regularly. There are plenty of restaurants within a short drive. We can highly recommend and will be returning

Lovely stay
We stayed for two weeks at the end of June in Olive Tree. The property was very clean and had all the equipment you need. The outside decking area is a sun trap all day long but if you need shade then the covered area is ideal. The pool and sunbathing area were very clean with plenty of sun loungers. Marseillette is a quiet village with only one bar/restaurant but there is a pizza van, burger van and curry delivery on certain days of the week. The supermarket in Capendu nearby is about a five to ten minute drive away. Other supermarkets are in Trebes which is about fifteen minutes by car. You can drive to Carcassone centre within twenty five minutes and there are even larger supermarkets nearby. Overall, we had a lovely stay and Adrian and Ann-Marie were very good hosts who both suggested places of interest and were available if needed. We would recommend the gite to anyone looking for a quiet place to stay with lovely walks on your doorstep up and down the Canal du Midi.

We really enjoyed our stay. Property was brilliant, especially liked the outside area for our own personal use, and lovely swimming pool. Hosts very welcoming and helpful, they have thought of everything- amazing attention to detail! Excellent location. Would highly recommend.

Great Location for touring the area
This was our second visit to Olive Tree Cottage, facilities are excellent, the Gite has everything you need and is exceptionally clean. We love the peaceful location and being able to relax by the pool after a day exploring the area. Adrian and Anne-Marie the owners are helpful and can suggest places of interest to visit. There is a supermarket and restaurants in the nearby town of Trebes.

Olive Tree review
This was a charming property, very well kitted out with everything you would need. The owners were very helpful in advising us on the location of supermarkets, restaurants etc. The pool and surrounding area are also very good with plenty of sun loungers and chairs and enough shade under the olive trees should you need it.
