The staff were so accommodating and went way above to make us and our dog Blue so welcome from his welcome pack to the fuss made over him it made our visit truly special. Massive thanks to Lucie, Taylor and Ray for looking after us and the old dog. Breakfast was brilliant and the I would highly recommend the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. First time guests might be surprised to find no staff on site when checking in. We passed by the entrance at first look because of its innocuous door and recessed signage. “Expedia booked me at the wrong Tarbert. I asked for the Tarbert on Isle of Harris. Apparently, this happens a lot. The hotel I did stay at in the Tarbert I was hoping for said it’s a common mistake. They’ve tried informing booking companies, to no avail. Though I contacted the Anchor about the booking mistake, I was charged full price for a room I was 250 miles from.”
