“Nos alojamos dos noche y la verdad es que estuvimos muy bien. Sitio perfecto, limpieza absoluta. Muchos pequeños detalles que gustan: bolsitas de agua caliente, botiquín, botella de vino de obsequio, a la cocina no le falta un detalle, colchones estupendos. La única pega es el baño, el suelo de laducha resbala, la taza del váter de mueve y la mampara también se sale. Pero tiene hasta calentador de toallas!”

“This was a unique experience for us -- staying on a cork farm. The setting was stunning - the views amazing and you will truly get an authentic Alentejo experience. Note that is it not close to Evora, so keep that in mind. That said, I don't know that we've ever met a kinder and more welcoming host. Not only did his welcome us to the property, but he gave us a tour of his cork farm and explained the harvesting process -- it was such a personal touch and so fascinating. We just loved it. The……

“Staying in Monsaraz was magical, and this property added to that feeling. Very spacious and clean. Jose was a great host and a fantastic communicator (in English). One tip for those staying in off/shoulder season (we were here in March) - there are very few/no food options open in Monsaraz on Mondays. This goes for the town outside the walls and at the base of the hill.”

“Great little house in a lovely area of Portugal. It was well equipped and we were very glad of the plunge pool as it was very hot when we were there.”

“Book it now! Paul’s house is truly magnificent. It is the perfect combination of luxury and rustic. We liked it so much we changed our plans to tour the surrounding towns and instead spent two days lolling around the property. Paul is a tremendous host. He was kind enough to give us a small tour and explain the cork process to us and went above and beyond answering our many questions. There are lemon trees and orange trees that Paul encouraged us to enjoy which we did listening to the lambs baas……

“Cesar, our host, was really nice and helpful and we could reach out to him whenever we had a question. All the workers on site where really nice and friendly. The farm is setup within beautiful surroundings and there where lots of farm animals to look at. We are definitely planning on coming back again in fall! ”

“Haus in einer Gasse in einem verschlafenen Dorf. Original Einrichtung der "Tante" - alles mit Zierrat vollgestellt, lokalkolorit, wenig Platz um zu kochen, kaum Ablage und Arbeitsflächen. Die Betten nicht sehr komfortabel (auf einem Brett Federkernmatratzen). Netter Garten mit weitem Blick in die Landschaft.”
