Complete Nightmare – Avoid at All Costs
Do not book a stay at Affittacamere L'Appusentu under any circumstances. They completely abandoned my mom and me outside in the scorching sun with zero way to access the property.
Here is what you can actually expect from this establishment:
Non-existent Service & Unresponsive Staff: They promised staff would be waiting for us, but no one ever showed up. We never received check-in instructions or door codes.
Disconnected Contact Numbers: I incurred excessive international calling fees trying to reach them, only to discover their phone number was completely disconnected.
Inaccessible Location & False Photos: The photos online are completely deceptive. The property is located in an inaccessible area near the castle. You have to haul your luggage 100–200 meters uphill from the parking area, which rarely has any open spots.
Broken Systems & Confusing Setup: The lockboxes outside are poorly labeled, making it impossible to know which room is yours. The reservation portal link posted on the wall is completely broken and repeatedly claimed my reservation didn't exist.
Known Systemic Issue: After being left stranded at 5:00 PM, we had to scramble to find alternative accommodation. The host at our new place informed us that this is a systemic pattern with L'Appusentu;multiple stranded guests have turned up at their door with the exact same story. We are currently fighting to get a full refund through customer service. Save yourselves.
