I was so impressed of how close to the beach it is and so sound it by nature; the sound of waves from the ocean was definitely a plus. When we first arrived the first thing we saw was two happy and cute monkeys on the very top of the matapalo tree. It made us take some time to start admiring the beauty of that place. “What a marvelous time we had immersed in the open life between this beautiful beach and wild mangrove river. The host went above and beyond to arrange our desired trips kayaking, exploring Corcovado, enjoying the Gulf, massages, birding, and suggesting options for food experiences. He even suggested the shuttle from San Jose and the hotel to use there as well. Know that Punta Preciosa is remote. It is wild. It is 25 minutes by taxi to town, so come prepared with food and your desired beverages.……

“We spent 4 nights here at casa sunrisa and they were incredible! The owners are both super responsive and over the top helpful. The place has all that you could need, despite feeling totally different as it is wide open to nature. We were fortunate to do a number of different hikes with William. These were all great. However, the space itself is situated so that you see tons of animals right from the backyard. We saw a tyra, sloth, scarlet maccaws, 3/4 monkey varieties, agouti, iguanas all from……

“This is an amazing property in Matapalo in the southern tip of the Osa Peninsula. The house itself is beautiful and well kempt. We experienced hours of enjoyment watching monkeys, tropical birds, pizotes, cuatis, fireflies and other beautiful creatures pass through the yard. Wow! Kirk is a great host and he has a wonderful staff including Willian who helped us with our daily needs and took us on a tour of Corcovado National Park. We had an awesome visit!”
