Trullo and Studio with Private Pool.

A picturesque tarmaced country lane off a main road leads to a gate marking the start of a long lit drive leading to a large lit car park. A lovely five coned trullo and lamie welcome you, with an adjacent self contained studio with separate bathroom and utility room all linked up by an external tile covered colonade, with the large utility cum bathroom in between. The lamie has a fully equipped shower room at the rear of the room. The utility room has a good size bathroom with a shower over a full bath. A wide level terrace lead to a private 40 sq m pool of 1.4 metre uniform depth with a large sun patio surrounded by gardens and trees. Trullo and studio has wood burning stoves and the lamie an open fireplace, and all full aircon. A large south-facing level patio in front of trullo has a sun canopy over outdoor dining area, and an adjacent ball play area. The studio has its own patio overlooking the pool and grounds. Built in BBQ facility at front of trullo, the rear having a large patio with a washing line and cold washing facility.
The property sits in an olive grove of over100 trees giving guests virtually total privacy. The neighbouring trulli are 100 metres away on both sides hidden by trees and shrubs.

L'emplacement de la location est au calme. La piscine est grande et propre. En réservant nous n'avions pas compris que dans la maseria il y a deux espaces nuit séparés par de simples rideaux. Cela fait penser à de petites chambres cabines. Un peu compliqué quand nous sommes 5 adultes. Quant au studio il faut en sortir pour acceder à la salle de bain et aux toilettes. La situation géographique de la propriété est très bien pour découvrir le centre des Pouilles. Martin, le monsieur qui s'occupe de la piscine est sympathique et de bons conseils.

Charmante trullo op een heerlijke locatie
Charmante trullo op een heerlijke rustige locatie met veel grond er omheen. Erg prettig ontvangen door Martin die erg behulpzaam was met tips voor de omgeving. Een heerlijk zwembad. De inrichting en voorzieningen in huis waren o zich prima maar hier en daar was wel wat upgrade nodig. We hebben er een heerlijke tijd gehad.

Ottima soluzione
La location si presenta bene nel complesso. Ristruttura e fornita di tutto il necessario. La zona esterna è fantastica, piscina ampia e giardino molto grande, oltre alla possibilità di parcheggiare in loco. I gestori sono stati molto disponibili e sono intervenuti subito all’occorrenza. La zona è poco distante dal centro di Ceglie Messapica dove si mangia benissimo e in 20 minuti si arriva ad Ostuni.

I TRULLI SONO INCANTEVOLI E LA PISCINA LI RENDE ANCORA PIU' ATTRAENTI. AGGIUNGEREI UN FORNO A LEGNA ESTERNO CHE COMPLETEREBBE LA POSSIBILITA' DI CUCINA ALL'ESTERNO. Good premises just a few downfalls
I visited this property with my mother, younger sisters and brother as a family treat. The Trulli and studio are great facilities especially with the private pool to explore Puglia. However, we had a few issues. The property manager we could not get a hold of to meet at 4pm. We did arrive early around 3pm and was told he would be at the property in around 25 minutes. He turned up at 4:20, so later than the actual agreed time of arrival. I mentioned I couldn’t get through to his phone and he asked if I had called around 3. Then he said he didn’t have his phone on him so it was all rather confusing. We then received a text the next day to say he would be by to collect the cleaners keys which were very readily accessible. I was a bit annoyed that we could not have been informed and just let ourselves in until he arrived. Second issue, out of the property owners control is the substantial number of mosquitoes, all of us were eaten alive. No matter how many sprays, citronella candles or plug ins. To the point I couldn’t walk for a day my legs where bitten that badly. The patio adjacent to the pool had several areas of spilled wax we assume from the previous visitors. Third issue, the air con in the Trulli would not work. Someone was sent out, who via google translate said the unit is too old to be repaired. Now I know it’s out of the owners hands if this had broken but I wonder if this unit has been serviced. Particularly with the dangers of legionella being emitted. We did have two power cuts during our stay one by a storm and the second was a scheduled power company maintenance. Again out of his control, however bear in mind everything including the water is electronically pumped. Meaning no toilets. Following the storm and power cuts, the Trulli started to smell quite strange a musty almost sewer like smell. However that was our second to last day and we weren’t about much. Lastly the Trulli in some very small parts was quite dirty, particularly around the beds.

A.K.A. Our own private castle
Really loved the stay here, the place feels more secluded than it actually is. The closest neighbours are just out of sight and we didn't hear much from either, the place is really peaceful (with lots of cicadas at nights). The facilities are pretty basic but functional, there's plenty of hot water for showers and a great outdoor shower next to the pool for washing off sunscreen, and the house warden Martin will help you out with everything you could need. The kitchens are well equipped and the outdoor dining area fantastic for our group of 8 (5adults and three kids). The nearby village of Ceglie is really cosy, has a few good supermarkets as well as specialist shops and offers some really good dining options, try the Da Gino's just for their antipasto, they're fantastic! All in all a very enjoyable stay, would definitely recommend this!
