"This is a lovely retreat. Each room is an individual cabana. The decor in the room was beautiful, and the landscaping of the grounds is wonderful. The staff was extremely gracious. I used this as a base to explore the area for 3 days and it was perfect. I had a rental car and explored on my own without booking any tours. It was easy and safe. A perfect trip. If you desire being immersed in the dust and congestion of San Pedro proper, this property is not for you. It is a large compound with comfortable rooms, friendly staff, large common spaces, large shared kitchen/dining facility, pool and game room. It is gated & secure with plenty of covered parking (yes, you will need a car for best access to sites in and around SPDA and use of hotel /facilities). "
