We had a lovely stay at Sandy during our recent family holiday to Italy. The property was very well equipped and was withing easy walking distance to many restaurants, the lake and supermarkets.

Very spacious apartment in a great location. Cernobbio is a wonderful base on Lake Como with easy access to ferries to other locations on the lake. Only issue we had is that the underground parking offered is only suitable for a small car and we could not get our large car into it. That said there was paid parking right outside the apartment.

What a beautiful and relaxing apartment and community. Very close to pastry, coffee and nice restaurants.

CONS; We had directions to enter the property; however we informed the management company that we did NOT have a car. They said that did not matter which was 1000% NOT TRUE The directions are NOT written for someone who is a walk up. Therefore, this was the worst check in of any property we have stayed in ever, given alternate (non car ) directions were not provided. It took us over 30 -45 minutes to enter and the company could not answer a simple question without a video of the front door! This company manages 200 properties in the area by the way. The door handle fell off the door leaving us to cancel our dinner plans we could not leave the apartment (turns out we could do so but were not aware that there was a second lock that turned the handle mechanism). We had no hot water the first morning and by the time it was fixed we had to leave and could not take showers. The heat went off again, however they had showed us (because of the shower and door handle ) what to do. We also had tiny ants in the bathroom. Not a big deal but they were all over our toiletries. PROS: Location is excellent. There are only about 26 stairs or so and they are well managed (not spiral etc) The place was clean however the furnishings are very "IKEA". Lastly the night stand lamp is so cheap that it fell apart--it did not break. The nice handyman "fixed" it for me!
