Amazing stay

We spent four nights here and loved our experience! The cabin is gorgeous, clean, and well appointed. Some of our favorites were the huge wraparound deck, boardwalk to the water, fishing off the dock, and the fun basement games. The location is a great jumping off point for Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens. Overall, this was a wonderful and relaxing get-away for our family.

Beautiful home

Over Thanksgiving my family enjoyed this lovely home. The beds were comfortable and the showers were great. Loved the close proximity to historic Williamsburg.

Very Well Maintained Property, Chick River Access

James represented the property accurately and was very prompt and pleasant in all communications. I would stay here again and highly reccomend the property. Property is very private and had room for our RV a few cars, which was perfect because we were traveling through and needed to park the RV during our stay.

Williamsburg Christmas

Great getaway for Christmas. The cabin is beautiful. Enjoyed the fireplace and games. Just far enough to feel like you really got away from things but still close enough to all the attractions. This place would be amazing in warmer weather being right on the water.

Family Vacation near Richmond, VA

I had a wedding in Richmond, VA and decided to make it a family vacation.This beautiful home was near Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown and offered fishing off a private deck.My boys loved the ambiance of the Log Cabin with the indoor fireplace and game room in the basement!I highly recommend this amazing home and give it 10 out of 10!

Overall, this cabin was a great find! I didn’t want the children traveling too far from home, so this location was perfect! Only 90 minutes from our neighborhood. Wonderful Stay

The house was beautiful and in a great location. It was secluded and quiet, but just a short drive to most of our destinations (Williamsburg, Jamestown, golf course, restaurants). There was plenty of room to spread out and the huge deck was a great place to gather! We did not get to use the outdoor fireplace as it was too hot out, but would love to return in cooler weather. All in all, a great house and a wonderful stay!

Wonderful mini vacation!

We had a great “mini” vacation at the cabin. The home was very clean and any questions we had were addressed promptly. The proximity to Williamsburg and Jamestown was perfect. Close enough that we didn’t have to spend a lot of time driving but far enough to feel away from the hustle and bustle. Wish we had more time to spend at the house to take advantage of the outdoor fireplace and river. James was a pleasure to work with! Thank you for your hospitality!

Reunion at River Lodge

We were wowed by the tree-lined long drive leading to an amazing log cabin lodge surrounded by woods and a view of the Chickahominy river through the trees. We were a group of four women, enjoying an annual reunion together and had plenty of space to relax and enjoy. The comfort of the bedrooms and the use of indoor and outdoor fireplaces in the chilly weather made it all the more memorable. The homeowner was minutes away to replenish some needed items. He was delightful to meet and visit with! I would return here for a future visit in a heartbeat.

We needed a space to sleep 10 and this house did. It is very spacious, we all had our own private space. I also needed space to do some baking for my son's wedding and this house provided 2 spaces to bake! It worked out very well for me. It was really convenient to have 2 ovens and 2 refrigerators to use. There are a couple of suggestions for the kitchens, add kitchen towels and also pot holders. Those items would have been nice to have. The basement was a dream for kids with the various games provided. The outdoor space is also beautiful. We utilized the firepit and also the dock on the river. Very relaxing environment. We also loved how secluded it felt. The location was also close to the wedding venue which made it convenient to deliver all the decorations, cupcakes and cake. This home was exactly what we were looking for, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. James was also great to communicate with, he answered my questions in a timely manner. Check in and out was extremely easy. We highly recommend this Vrbo.

An amazing vacation!

We had an awesome stay at your beautiful log home! Although it was one of the hottest weeks of the summer, this home always welcomed us back from daily adventures with the best air conditioning and overall great layout for kids and adults. Our family of nine enjoyed many adventures including fishing, swimming, boating, floating, outdoor activities and games - even some nightly family movies! The kids loved the complimentary boat ride to the Blue Heron for a yummy dinner too! It’s our first time renting on VRBO and would recommend this fantastic log home to everyone! Hidden paradise

We spent a long weekend celebrating an early Christmas in this beautiful log home and wish we could have stayed longer. Everything was better than pictured and described. The property is secluded and such a beautiful place with the water/dock/deer/sunsets and woods. There was plenty of room to spread out and have space. We enjoyed the downstairs game room area tremendously. We baked Christmas cookies/sweets in the kitchen, which was well equipped and enjoyed several meals together with extended family. We played games in the living room by the wood burning fire. It was all so perfect! We definitely want to stay here again.

Log Cabin

To call it a Log Cabin (which it is) does it an injustice! The place a great. Spacious, clean, well quipped, etc. Though it seems isolated, restaurants, shopping, etc. are relatively close by and very good. The lower floor which has a bedroom and sitting room also has a game room w/ foosball, pool table, and shuffle board (almost wish we still had kids! ;-). The walk to the dock is a bit long, but we had a great time sitting down by the river singing Oits Redding. Coffee on the wrap around deck was so peaceful in the morning. Highly recommend.

Exceptional in every way!

If you want to stay at a place that is not only spectacular, but also feels like home…this is it!! While the pictures are beautiful online, in person this cabin is even more stunning. Spacious, immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and has anything you could think to need, especially in the kitchen - great for a larger group of 7 like we had and perfect for the Thanksgiving meal we prepared. While here, you are also located just enough away to have scenic privacy, but close enough to do all the things…Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Yorktown, Jamestown, etc. (all less than a 30 min drive). The host, James, is by far the most communicative, responsive, and genuinely the nicest VRBO owner I’ve dealt with and I say that without hesitation. If you are considering a stay here…do it! You will LOVE everything about it!

Vacation Rental of your dreams

The listing for this rental looked fantastic. Upon arrival at the home both myself and my wife were blown away as to how great the home looked from the outside. It is a magnificent log home with a 3 sided deck, partially covered and uncovered. Upon entering the home our mouths feel open. The interior is beyond unbelievably fantastic! The living room with the floor to ceiling windows/doors offers a great view of the grounds and the river. The kitchen is very modern with all appliances. The owner/rental agent saw to it that all the necessary items were there including condiments, coffee pods and grounds, creamers. spices, etc. The Main B/R upstairs overlooks the L/R is beyond spacious and even has its own door to a balcony deck, the walk in shower is magnificent! The basement with the game room was the hit with our granddaughter and boyfriend. I could go on and on but will finish with if you rent this home, you will not be disappointed. (We are looking forward to renting it again around the holidays!)
