"This hotel has lots of nice, family-friendly amenities (even a water slide at the pool!). Rooms are comfortable but could use better blackout shades. Breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast fare (in other words, not great), although the pancake machine brings it up a notch. Most importantly, the hotel is an easy drive to the CAT ferry to Bar Harbor, which I assume is the draw for many/most visitors."
