Balsam Mountain Cabin with waterfalls and a great year round view

  • Enjoy a peaceful getaway in a custom built cabin in the Balsams. Located in a small very private gated community with views of the beautiful Blue Ridge mountains. From the large deck you can take a cat nap, read a good book, or enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner while listening to the tranquil rushing creek with waterfall. Take advantage of the waterfall trail located on the property. You will enjoy spectacular views from every window . Secluded, but just minutes away from downtown dining and shopping in Waynesville, Sylva, or Cherokee and Skiing and Elk reserve in Maggie Valley! You will be a mile from the Blue Ridge Parkway. This will be your new favorite spot! Perfect for a weekend getaway or a week of solitude. Please note, the road to the cabin is paved halfway then turns to a well maintained gravel road. This is a mountain road and does not have streetlights. The road is wide enough for two cars to pass. 4x4 is not necessary. Please be aware of arriving at night the cabin driveway may be harder to locate.

Very good south view of mountains, allowing for sunrise and sunset effects to be noticed. Cabin was very secluded, with the sound of a waterfall just a few hundred yards away.

Absolutely fantastic location...

We enjoyed our stay so much. The view is incredible and tie that in with the sound of a babbling brook and waterfalls it was heavenly!!! The cabin was very well stocked with all the necessities and was very clean. We will definitely be coming back for another visit.

Beautiful view

We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the clouds over the mountains. No true sunset, but the view was pretty. Overall, it is a relaxing and quiet place for a couple.

We enjoyed our stay, clean and well stocked property with a lovely view. The signage could have been a little more visible to help us find the cabin the first time. Lovely Christmas lights added a nice touch.

Amazing

This is a great place to get away to. It is private and quiet. You are surrounded by wild live and a beautiful view. And the drive up was just that, up! Its a great central location to towns and attractions. I would recommend a weekend get away from the kids and life be taken here any time.

Beautiful clean cabin, gorgeous view. I would give it five stars, but the water lines were frozen the first night we were there. Wasn't a big deal, we figured it out, and the cabin owner offered to let us stay at another time to make up for it.

I’ve stayed at this cabin five different times. It is on the side of a mountain with a beautiful view with the sound of a waterfall that can be heard on the porch. If you lead a busy life this is the place to escape it.

Memorial Day long weekend getaway

This cabin was amazing! The views were breathtaking! We had such a wonderful time in this cabin. The view and sound of the waterfall/stream made it hard to leave. You have everything you need to relax and reset. Short drives to Bryson City and Waynesville. We will be back!

Wonderful place to stay

We loved this cabin!! You can hear the waterfall while you look at the mountains relaxing on the balcony, enjoying the COOL breeze in July!!! And falling asleep to hearing the waterfall is a bonus! Sylva is a cute town, and we were able to go visit four waterfalls easily in a day, an hour’s drive. Asheville is also close. Highly recommend

Adorable Cabin with a Great View

Adorable cabin with a great view, close to other hot spots such as Cherokee and Asheville. Short walk to the small stream that flows down the mountain, which was a peaceful place to sit. We observed a few crawdads and salamanders and just enjoyed the ambiance. Would love to visit again when all the tree leaves change colors. 10/10 would recommend anyone take a trip there.

Lovely Cabin With Mountain Views Close to Blue Ridge Parkway

My family had a wonderful week long vacation here. The property owners were quick to respond when I messaged them. I felt that there was a lot of love and care poured into this cabin, inside and out. I especially loved the irises that bloomed during our stay near the walkway out front. The cabin was very clean and felt like home. The view from the porch is breathtaking. I plan on returning here often.
