“If you are looking for a quiet stay in the middle of the NH Lake Sunapee region, this is your place. From the moment we stepped into the Inn to the time we left, it was a great experience. The game closet was full with fun games and the other guests we met were great to hang out with. No TV made everyone actually talk to each other and learn about each other. The chairs by the lake are great for that afternoon nap or just watch nature and read a book. The room was comfortable and the bed was……

“Excellent and comfortable place to stay in beautiful location. Welcoming owners. Delicious home cooked breakfast. Recommended”

“Cozy country inn! The owners are kind and very responsive. The rooms are cute and cozy….and the beds are comfortable! We had a quick, but lovely stay.”

“This was a unique experience for me. It was like having a nice room in a log cabin. It was very quiet and peaceful right off the winding country road sitting in front of a forest with a beautiful outlook from the dining area. No bread or baked goods for me but nice yogurt, fresh fruit and coffee. The owner Nick……

“We needed somewhere near Mt. Wachusett to stay and this was a perfect spot. Very cozy and well decorated. The breakfast was such a nice touch.”

“The Golden Stage Inn was one of the highlights of our Vermont trip. Mike and Julie are wonderful hosts and have clearly put so much care into making the entire experience special. Our room was cozy, spacious, and beautifully kept, with a fireplace, lovely bathroom, and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept in while traveling. Breakfast alone is a reason to stay here. The two-course breakfasts were phenomenal, with fresh, local ingredients, juice, and plenty of coffee, all served in a……

“We liked the property and the room, the furniture and furnishings. All clean. Our stay was disappointing for three reasons. The fireplace was not working. We were promised breakfast vouchers but they were not given at check-in. We tried to find the innkeeper at about 10:30 the next morning but he was not to be found nor did he answer the phone. The restaurant would not credit us. When we told the innkeeper, he took responsibility for forgetting to give us the vouchers but would not reimburse us……

“This was my 3rd time staying at Dexter’s Inn and hopefully not the last. It is a wonderful inn with easy access to Mount Sunapee. ”
