I needed a place in Chester that had free parking and a bed to sleep in The George and Dragon Place fitted the bill. The bed was comfortable, and the shower hot. As it was a wet weekend in Chester the radiator produced enough heat to dry my trousers before going out for dinner. However, remember to turn it off before going out as it was like a sauna on my return. The hotel fitted my requirements but without food it may not be for you.

Our trip was highlighting by our bartender, Shaney. He was always pleasant and provided great service! A quaint, nice little hotel right on the outskirts of all the action at Chester. Will stay again if we make it back to the UK!

Location good which was important to us Parking free if you are staying which was brilliant We were under impression you had an option for breakfast from 8am but didn't You have to call reception on mobile even during day Room drab and extremely basic, marks in sheets, mould in shower but TV in room and kettle with tea making facilities The mattress had a spring sticking out which was uncomfortable All that said I would stay again due to location

The george was lovely and the staff were brilliant. The only downside was that we paid for bed and breakfast. When I spoke to the guy what time was breakfast he said they are not doing any food as the kitchen was being refurbished

Never used the bar so can’t comment as there was no food available. Free parking, check in quick, clean comfortable room with nice shower, no air conditioning but fan & wet towel did the trick. Not 5 star but did the job great location as we love to walk so did the city wall & river for dinner.
