Comfortable and clean room with lots of little touches that made the stay more pleasant. Good food and choice in the pub and simple but good breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay, everyone was friendly, helpful, super accommodating and in particular with it being dog friendly we never felt like we were being a nuisance with the dog. It is the first time that I have eaten out with the dog and not felt on edge, worried that she is in the way or making someone else feel uncomfortable.

One night country stay!

We had a lovely one night stay. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and tidy, the food was tasty and the breakfast was brilliant. The garden area and country setting was so relaxing. Just what we were looking for. Great value for money and would highly recommend.

Great find! Quaint country pub not far from Chichester. Really friendly staff, lovely guest accommodation and tastey food. Would definitely revisit.

The White Horse provided an excellent overnight stay with good facilities and a lovely breakfast. We would have liked to have eaten there too but their restaurant booking system said fully booked only to be told, once we arrived, that they always make room for guests - too late for us as we’d made other arrangements.

Great service and dog friendly

An excellent 3rd stay at the White Horse. New owners are making some changes and just to have roll with those but can confirm the food was excellent but missed the excellent pies. Service from everyone was excellent - warm, friendly, attentive and informed.

Recommended hotel/restaurant outside Chichester

Enjoyable stay at a good price. Pretty up to date room with a good breakfast. Offered advocado with the full English when I said I did not want black pudding. Croquet lawn. Very friendly and helpful staff. Free EV charging was a nice plus although I think 2 of the 3 chargers were not working. The main negative was the noise of a fan turning on and off outside my particular room (Quail). Was annoying.

It's OK but with reservations

Location is very pleasant, staff were friendly and efficient, dinner was good with a limited menu but some interesting drink selections, breakfast was OK but some items appeared to be re-heated rather than freshly cooked. The room was very spacious in terms of floor area, but it was within what would have been the roof space, resulting in restricted headroom on the long sides. The decor was very dark which isn't ideal in a room with limited natural light. The bathroom was bizarre in some respects. The washbasin only held about 4cm depth of water, and the free-standing roll-top bath had nowhere to stand toiletries. The shower ... was non-existent, making hair washing an interesting experience. I am sure some people will love this type of design, but it simply isn't functional. Location obviously plays a key role in pricing structures, but I thought it was on the high side for the facilities offered.

The inn was fantastic. The reception front of house staff were extremely friendly and kind. They offered us a hot drink on a rainy miserable evening on arrival. They also sorted us out with a drink to go on our departure to London. Everything from checking in to checkout was top class.

After a day on the beach we were so pleased to arrive at this gorgeous gastro pub with rooms. Beautiful, and comfortable rooms with lovely style and welcoming touches, and our dog was welcomed happily and given her own bed and there was even a dog shower area outside. Dinner outside was delicious and a great breakfast menu too, traditional and healthy options also. Thoroughly recommend and hope to come back.
