During the nor Easter the restaurants were closed on Chincoteague and refuge inn staff had lunch and dinner made for the guests. This is the best place I have ever stayed and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

We loved the ponies on site. It was fun to feed them. The staff was helpful and wonderful. The coffee and pastries were a sweet touch. The coffee/tea bar was awesome. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the patio. The gift shop was a delight! Better than any downtown. The Misty items were not found anyplace else. We highly recommend this delightful find!

What is unique about the property and management is that the Refuge truly cares about customer relationships. The staff is top-notch and super helpful and delightful, the room and amenties far exceed any experience we've had at other establishments on Chincoteague Island. We will always stay at the Refuge going forward. Enjoy as we have!!! Best value for customer service and accomodations on the Island.

What a wonderful stay. The room was very clean and had a lovely view of the pool. Check in was very easy and we called morning of to extend our stay a few hours at the residence and it was simple. The pool and hot tub areas were lovely and not crowded at all. My son, especially loved, going up to the observation deck and looking out at the marsh. The horses on the property were such a lovely additional bonus. We will absolutely be returning to the Refuge Inn
