This property is almost to the end of the island on the east end. It is absolutely beautiful and the staff could not be nicer. The food at the restaurant is great and reasonably priced, particularly for a hotel/resort restaurant. The rooms are beautiful, bright and airy. The view is spectacular. We will visit again.

With only 18 guest rooms it was extremely quiet at night to sleep and neither the pool nor restaurants were packed with a lot of people. Great getaway!!

Boutique Hotel quiet location still in rebuilding stage has potential to be great clean and friendly staff very satisfied with our stay Bartender Brogan was the best made our stay so nice want to return in a few years to see completed

Beautiful ocean view from our private balcony. The pool area was large with nice lounge chairs and large bar. Staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and up dated. Would stay here again.

It’s close to jack and Isaac bays these beautiful beaches are about a 20 minute hike trail is was easy and beach to yourself no road access so it’s quite waters are calm and the best snorkeling besides buck island it’s a gem the hotel has me wanting to stay again staff is really great

The hotel was great! The staff is amazing. Kate at the front desk and Ken working the late shift are the best. All of the employees are friendly and have great attitudes. The restaurant has a good menu and the food is very good. I can't think of anything negative about the hotel and the people who work there.

It’s a quiet, beautiful location. We basically had the place to ourselves until the wine tasting night. It’s close to Point Udall, which is a great place to watch the sunrise. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There were only two downsides. One, I booked a room for a family of five, so I assumed there would be a sofa/bed or just a sofa. I had to pay an additional $60 a night plus tax for a rollaway. Second, you really can’t go out into the water here. The beach goes straight to a dead coral reef, so you can’t walk out on it. However, it’s still beautiful to look at and there are several beautiful beaches nearby. You will need a car here.

Gorgeous St. Croix

Gorgeous hotel. Very kind and friendly staff. Everyone was super helpful and nice. The only thing that we didn’t like was the beach was not swimming friendly. We knew that before hand but still wished there was private beach access or any beach access directly at the hotel. Otherwise it was gorgeous.

Mandy was very nice and helpful. Hotel was clean and views were amazing. The taxi service gouge you but walking to the casino or to jacks beach/horse shoe beach and Isaacs beach are walkable and great day trips, both about thirty minutes walk. Restaurant charged gratuity on to go items which did not seem rightfair

Although this resort is far away from the cities, that is the very reason we loved it! So beautiful, great ocean view from every room, wonderful staff who are the friendliest and most kind I've ever run into. Downsides would be that if you do not like to walk (we do), you'd need a car to get to Point Udall (which we missed on this trip), nearby casino & to the cities. Hiking trail right by the resort led to a turtle nesting beach, and great views of the island - be sure to wear leggings & good walking shoes - trail is a bit rocky & rough in spots. We used cabs & the VIHail ride share. That was very good & convenient to use. FYI cabs have set rates, so it'll cost you about $70 to get from airport to the hotel. Overall, we spent about $250 on transportation between cabs & share app. Still much cheaper than renting a car. We can't wait to return to this one next year & want to thank everyone at Grapetree Bay Hotel for a fantastic stay!

Pleasantly surprised! This was a last minute decision through Expedia. Entire Property is still rebuilding from hurricane damage but our room and public areas are clean and well maintained. Family-owned operation, staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurants and bars are well stocked with freshly prepared, tasty food choices. Light musical entertainment Thursday - Saturday nights. Not as isolated as it may appear, being on the East end of the island. When the villas are completed this will be a much-in-demand destination!

This property is a work in progress. It was abandoned for a long time and recently renovated and revitalized. With that said, it’s in a remote location and it’s a drive to any restaurants, town, and the beach. There is no working elevator so this is not a place for people with mobility issues. The rooms are spacious and most have ocean views. The rooms have digital locks and they didn’t seem the most secure. The main dining area is dated and also outdoor so the wind can be an issue at times. Overall, this resort has potential. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

The property itself was clean, however there was an issue with bugs. A huge bug got into the room and climbed into a corner and turned into what appeared to be a cocoon there was also a small roach in the room. Also there was no one at the front desk after 9p which was very strange as there was no one to help with the issue with the bugs. Staff however during the day was very friendly. The restaurants were very mediocre as far as food quality.
