"Springer Station is in the historic Brown Hotel where Judy Garland filmed scenes for "the Harvey Girls" long ago. It is an old-style hotel run by a delightful family and has clean comfortable rooms and areas to sit, have coffee, and read. I was in a shared bath, which takes some flexibility, but worked out just fine. My room had its own sink. The hotel is linked to the railroad era of the Santa Fe as Springer was a transfer station, and many train personnel stayed at the Brown. The family also runs the Depot restaurant in town, where I had the best steak in 20 years! I highly recommend this site for a stay."

"We arrived without reservations and I needed beds for 6 adults. The staff set us up with adjoining rooms that were more than sufficient. The rooms were freshly remodeled and all appliances were like new. I was so pleased with the cleanliness of the entire property. The staff was friendly and efficient. I would give them 6 stars if I could. It will be my place to stay when visiting Red River N.M. We loved our stay!!!"

"I would definitely come here again in the future because it was like being home away from home with the place fully furnished especially in the kitchen as we made tasty meals and didn't have to have to go out and buy the small things we forgot for the preparation of the meals. The staff was wonderful and responded immediately when the stove was not working properly and it was a minor glitch. Thank you so much for such a wonderful weekend at Edelweiss lodge!!"

"We always stay here when we come to Taos Ski Valley (at least 5x). I thinks it’s owned by locals, I see the owner and her pup every time we are there. There is a lot of care in the details of this place. We live the alpine suites. Thanks!"

"Great location next the river. Having the breakfast area in same area as the office it was very crowded, which didn't open until 7am. Small amount of building maintenance, but rooms and property were extremely clean. Rooms were updated. Friendly staff."
