I stayed at the Embassy Suites February 14 -15 to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my husband who has never stayed at any location. Therefore, imagine how disappointed I was when entering the lobby area to see construction being done. My heart sank because I bragged about the beauty of the hotel. The room was nice and I had some excitement to know that the complimentary happy hour and breakfast is still provided. However, when we went to breakfast it was nothing like I have experienced in the past at other Embassy Suites. The waffles were hard and dry, the potatoes were barely warm, and I was informed there wasn’t an omelet station which was another thing I bragged about to my husband. At this point I was highly disappointed and felt the need to reach out to a manager, Chase, by email about these issues. I sent the email Monday, February 16th and I still haven’t heard anything from him. If I had known construction was being done I would have booked a room at the Embassy Suites in Covington or another hotel since the romantic mood was hindered. I was considering having this Embassy Suites hotel as a venue for my wedding since my husband and I got married at the courthouse. However, this experience has caused me to want to look at other places. Hopefully, the construction will be completed soon so they will be able to get back to business and service as usual.

I stayed at Embassy on Friday, February 6th and the telephone in the room was not connected. I called the front desk they said they would send someone up but they never came. I stayed again on Saturday, February 7th and the television in the bedroom didn't work. Maintenance came up to try and fix it, but he could not fix it.

The hotel is under massive renovations. The entire center is torn up, and they are jackhammering the floor creating a haze of thick air. It would have been nice to know it was a mid-renovation disaster with jackhammers, plastic taped up everywhere and restricted entrances. Most if not all of our group did not get our rooms cleaned Wednesday and the towels looked dingy and gray and were all frayed on the edges. Beds and pillows were very comfortable though challenging to get in as they were almost touching the walls.

So they are in the middle of renovations so they can’t help that but it would have been nice to know. My first room the sing was clogged and full of brown stuff so they switched our rooms. The second room there was stains all over the couch and there was a cup of cigarettes butts on our balcony so that tells me they don’t clean very well either.
