“The pub is friendly with good food and staff.
The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. ”

“This is a 17th century coaching inn, which makes it a wonderful place to stay. The staff, especially the reception, were excellent and the room was clean. Yes, it's above a pub so it's not going to be super quiet until after it closes, but there was more noise from adjacent rooms than the pub. An evening meal was very good (meat pies top notch) and continental breakfast was good. For non-UK guests, yes, the room is going to be small, and for North American guests it is also going to be cold……

“Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her.
Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars.
Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. Shampoo……

“We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a DJ/disco on until after midnight. We were warned of this when we checked in but it was so loud and there was more noise from other guests. Parking is limited. Drinks expensive. Rooms clean but basic even though we were upgraded to a superior room. The one staff member was very helpful and friendly but overall disappointed would not stay again.”
