Loved it. Would love to return. Jeff was nice to work with. We would love to bring our lab if ever possible. Cove was all ours for the days we were there. Loved that! Pulled our boat right up to the dock. Be prepared for little snakes, turtles and gar, they didnt bother us. We jumped off the 40 foot cliff at our own risk. I will say those stairs are killer so bring your A Game.

Perfect place to get away with the whole family.

The property was more impressive in person than in the pictures. Seven adults slept comfortably, cooked, and had family dinners at the table. We loved being able to drive into Waco to go shopping and enjoyed sitting around the fire pit at night. The waterfront was refreshing for someone who lives in West Texas!

Getaway

Monday thru Thursday was perfect because it was so quiet and the kids had the whole cove to themselves. They had a blast and absolutely wore themselves out! The house was perfect and the beds were comfy. It was a really nice vacation!

Great little getaway

Our stay was great! We travelled from out of town and hauled our boat with us. The dock was available in cove and we were able to tie up to the dock for easy in and out boating trips. The house had everything we needed.

Good Times

Overall a good time. Had some bad weather, but we faired well. The property was as advertised. Really liked the location. There were a couple of issues, one was problems with the grill, and the other was not being able to use the dock for and day and a half. This was our sole reason for getting this property. Once it was fixed we used it a lot. Lots of fishing, swimming, floating, and yes jumping off the cliff. We all had a good time.

Clean and Comfy

The bedrooms were perfect for our family and the linens were nice (tons of pillows as well!). The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. We were very glad to have a washer and dryer on the premises, too. The check in/check out process was very simple.

Our employees have been working down at Whitney Dam and they just love this place. Very relaxing after a hard days work and they get to fish right there! Highly recommend.

Another Great Stay

This is our second time renting this same location and it doesn't disappoint. Guys we really happy and enjoy staying there. Definitely will be using again. I think anyone that rents this accommodation, will really enjoy it.

Great Peaceful Place

When our guys went to go into the house, they were in awe how nice this home was and it was very relaxing to them after a hard days. The requested to stay at this home while we finish our required work out there. It was everything and more than you could ask for. The communication between Jeff and I was on point and also checked to see if they arrived and then asked if anything else was needed. Highly recommend.

My boyfriend and I needed to just get away for a few days. I will say this was the perfect place to do it. The house was super clean and the bed was so comfy. And the lake was absolutely gorgeous!! Can’t wait to go back with my kiddos!!!!

Hidden Treasure

Our high school boys had a fishing tournament on Lake Whitney. This home was at the perfect location for us. Everyone had their own room. My favorite was the cove out back where our boys came to say hi several times through out the morning. We hope to return to this beautiful lake and this home!

Thank you for the great stay!

This property was a great fit for our family of seven to enjoy the holidays together. Two of the bedrooms are connected but that was not an issue for our kids. Loved it!

Nice clean place on a cool waterfront cove.

It’s a nice clean property with lots of amenities. The dock is down in s deep cove, which makes a fairly private cove. There’s allot of steps on the gangway to the dock, but we’ll worth it.

Nice Place

First, the PROS: House was very clean, nicely decorated, had comfortable beds, nice electric fireplace for ambiance and to warm the living room, a great assortment of kitchen ware if you wanted to cook meals, a picturesque view of the cove, and in a good location. As seasoned travelers and users of VRBO, here are some CONS: I would like to suggest an update to the description on VRBO. It was mentioned that the property required steps and may be difficult for guests with limited mobility. Though there are only 4 steps, it should be clarified that the steps are inside the house and both bathrooms are upstairs but all the bedrooms are downstairs. As senior adults, though not disabled, it would have changed our decision to rent this property because of getting up at night to use bathroom and having to navigate stairs. There was an issue in the bathroom with green tub, the diverter valve is not working properly preventing enough water pressure to come up to the shower. Also there seems to be a problem at times with flushing the toilets. When one is flushed the other gurgles and bubbles up. Don't want to be sitting on it when that happens. If someone is showering and a lot of water is draining out of the home the toilets tend not to want to flush at all for a while. Please note that I did not contact property manager about these issues, we just worked through them. The checkout instructions are not received until after the booking is secured and I think it should be stated up front. It seems to me that if I have to pay a cleaning fee, I should not have to take out the trash, strip the linens off the bed and deliver them to the laundry room, wash, dry, and put away all dishes used. We did see however, that the checkout instructions on the back of the door in the house were slightly different than what was sent to me after the booking. My intent is not for this to sound like a gripe fest, but to let you know how you could improve the description in VRBO and to let the property owner know about a couple of issues. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and the visit to the area.
