“We had a great stay, super clean & nice accommodations; very friendly, upkept town; floated nearby river; delicious breakfast on main st; awesome concert at county fair. Hope to return with our family sometime.”

“We had a lovely stay at the house. It works nicely for meditation retreats or bigger groups of adults getting together for a reunion. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and it was a very relaxing weekend. There was a bit too much chlorine in the hot tub, and it caused some skin issues for us, but the host said he would test the levels and take care of it for the next guest.”

“Hotel was very nice. Lady that checked me in was very friendly and fast. Well worth the money. Beds were so comfortable I want to take it home. The only problem I had was the cleaning lady come banging on my door at 9:30. ”

“Maquoketa caves state park was on pur bucket list to stay and I wanted a cabin with firepit and bonus if it had a whirlpool tub to soothe our muscles after hiking. This checked all the boxes for us. We especially liked that there were 2 beds...one felt more firm and the other more soft like ours at home. We were entirely comfortable. Would definitely recommend!”

“This property was clean and cozy. The basement bar was a great place to unwind after our concert at Codfish Hollow. The manager Myhair aka Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend if you're in town to stay here!”

“Ensure you have AWD or 4WD and good tires. It’s a 10 miles drive on a very muddy/gravel, low maintained road with lots of holes. There were several times my van almost got stuck and I was sliding all over the road. The tree and water fountain were very cute but there were 2 dead mice around the bottom of the tree, inside the cabin. The road/driveway outside of the cabin was pure mud deep mud. Would have appreciated a warning about the drive out to the cabin. Thankfully I got there early cuz I……
