Warm and welcoming, clean and well equipped. At last a property with plenty of cutlery and crockery! We had a very comfortable stay. The location was stunning, too.

Rachel was a fab host - we were filming a little project at the property and she couldn’t have been more accommodating. The house is gorgeous and the location is something else! Would love to come back for a proper holiday!

Beautiful barn

We had a fantastic weekend staying in the beautiful barn. Lots of thoughtful touches by Rachel, the owner. The accommodation was exceptionally clean and tastefully designed. We will definitely be back

Beautiful little place

Really comfortable bed and house. Very clean and lovely welcome treats. Stunning views in a lovely quiet spot. We found the walk to the village, which was amazing too. This was a last minute booking and we were very grateful to get such a quick and helpful response. Thank you

Perfect stay!

We had a fantastic stay at the property. It’s been beautifully done up with everything you need. The owners had kindly set up the highchair and travel cot prior to our arrival, and also provided enough washing pods which was very useful with two children under three and a wet weather! We’d highly recommend and would love to stay again.

This is one of the nicest places I've stayed in it was so peaceful and the house felt cosy. It had everything you could think of or need. Some lovely villages round it . I would definitely stay there again and recommend it.

Working get away

a great place to stay, modern clean and as described. had everything you need, a great rural location, the local pub in the village served good food. The property was used for a business workshop/ meeting inc business lunch at the local pub. Turns out its cheaper to book a great place like this for 3 nights than pay for a meeting room in a Hotel for 2 nights and use their meeting facilities for 2 days!

Perfect stay and an immediate re-booking!

Stockbridge Stables Is a lovely, well-appointed cottage with every amenity. Superbly located in beautiful open countryside but within easy reach of local towns. The owner has thought of everything to make for a relaxing stay. Excellent Wi-Fi and entertainment facilities if spending time at the cottage. On arrival we immediately re-booked the Stables as our accommodation for a family wedding taking place in nearby Hurst Green next summer. We are already looking forward to returning.

Stunning property in an idyllic location

Renovated to the highest standards, the cottage has wonderful views and easy access to Stonyhurst, the Tolkien Trail and similar walks. Very comfortable and well-equipped, ideal for four adults. Rachel is an exemplary host; attentive, considerate and with an eye for detail. Our visit could not have been better. Many thanks.

Somewhere new

We stayed here for a wedding locally and were very pleased we decided to stay an extra few days. The cottage is absolutley gorgeous and the rural localtion suited us very well. The booking was easy and we were kept informed of things we needed to know. If it was closer to home we would become a regular visitor. We do hope to come back one day. If you choose to stay here I feel you would not be dissappointed.

Peaceful Retreat

We had a very comfortable time in the cottage. When I asked Rachel if there was a coffee maker or French press in the home she said no and then messaged me that she’d gone out to get one for our stay. How lovely is that!? She left us a couple of treats as well. The cottage was cozy and quiet and had everything we needed for our winter retreat. Wonderful area we didnt know existed

Wonderful amount of space and apart from pasta bowls everything we needed and more. Outside wifi extender would be great and comfy fold up chairs with backs to watch the sun set would be a great addition. As a previous country cottage land lord myself I highly recommend staying overnight a few times to see for yourself how it feels and works. Amazing location and walks in every direction savouring views of Pendle hill and other fells at every turn. Unusually hot so a pole for kitchen velux would be great too. Over all we had a fabulous stay.

Absolute Gem!

Gorgeous cottage in beautiful surroundings. Very comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. Clitheroe and Whaley about a 15 min drive but Hurst Green is about 1.5 mile walk. Would highly recommend and would love to return in the future 😊
