"Staff welcoming and helpful. Some parking on site on first come first use basis. Breakfast and restaurant food was good. Location good allowed walking to main shopping area and attractions."

"Upon arrival we were greeted by a male receptionist (hair tied up) he is lovely . He’s very friendly helpful and willing to help 10 /10. The hotel is clean and welcoming. Our room was clean with plenty of room bed was comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices the hot food was warm and I enjoyed all the items I chose. My only criticism is a lady wearing high heels who I think is maybe a manager took a telephone call it was clearly about work quite loud and continued to talk whilst walking to the top for toast etc. loud footsteps loud voice . we were on a break away from work so we didn’t want to hear work related issues . We just wanted to relax having breakfast. The location of the hotel is excellent met all our needs . We really enjoyed our stay …. Until next time."

Bella Vista Hotel & Self Catering Suites

"Bella Vista was really good on most levels and we definitely wouldn’t have any problems staying here again. The staff, especially the manager were great overall and couldn’t have been any more helpful. The manager even dropped my cousin off at the railway station when we asked him for directions. We did have a problem in our room as neither of our blinds were working and we had to have a couple of people come to look at it on our 1st night, but neither could fix it unfortunately, so it meant a bright and early wake up to the day. What was disappointing was the attitude of the 2nd of the 2 who came to take a look. When he said it couldn’t be fixed, I asked if there was another room we could move to, but he said no there was no room. I asked about compensation then and his reply was “it’s just a blind”, you’ll have to speak to the Manager. We did speak to the manager the next morning and again he was really helpful, but he couldn’t fix it in the end either so offered us a new room. However, we decided against it at this point as that would be our last night and as we were leaving early the next day, a bright early wake up wasn’t an issue. So he didn’t charge us for our two breakfasts that we added to our room. The cooked breakfast was very disappointing unfortunately, but there were other choices available from the menu and a buffet to choose from. A few tweaks to this hotel and it would be amazing!!"

Moxy Cork

"The Moxy was brilliant for what we needed for our 4 night city break. A perfect location next to the river, not far from Cork airport by taxi and then almost everything in the city was a good walkable distance, some things only up to 10 minutes away. The hotel inside and out was modern and aesthetically pleasing, with a lovely fragrance running through the lobby and main areas. Our room was nice, not the biggest, but had everything we needed. The shower was really nice and the air-conditioning was amazing- nice and cold- we were there during an Irish heatwave! The only drawbacks about the room was the view wasn't wonderful but it didn't really bother us, and the bed was soft/a bit uncomfortable but that happens in pretty much any hotel I go to so is probably just my issue! The staff at the Moxy were just brilliant, so welcoming and friendly. They were happy to help with anything you need. They were particularly accommodating when I spilled a drink on our bed and they quickly had the bedding changed. The bar was nice where we had a complimentary welcome cocktail, that was such a lovely touch. Thank you Moxy for a really nice and welcoming stay in Cork, what a beautiful hotel and city you have!"

"Superb hotel on all counts. The breakfast buffet was truly memorable, with delicious blood sausages and bangers to go along with eggs and coffee in the morning. The bar area was friendly and convenient, as well as the hotel restaurant. The hotel is within walking distance (3-5 mins.) of the bus station that can take one to the Dublin Airport (Lufthansa canceled my direct flight from Frankfurt to Cork, so I had to fly to Dublin instead, wherein I took a 3:30 hr. bus to Cork). It is also within walking distance of the Grand Parade, a vibrant cultural and historical center where there are multiple restaurants, pubs, stores, and places to visit. If I return to Cork, I will return to this hotel again, for sure."
