Great stay at the Ameron Köln. Room was super comfortable, upscale and quiet. The Ameron really feels like a luxury hotel and the staff were all very helpful and friendly. I am not too familiar with Cologne, but while the location of the hotel did not appear to be right in the center of everything, it was only a 10 minute walk to a main street where we already had dinner reservations, and maybe a 10 EUR Uber to other areas. A major train line runs literally right by the hotel and was very easy to catch back for our return home from old town. So perhaps there may be better locations to stay, but regardless, I would definitely choose the Ameron for next time. I loved it!

Wunderbahr Hotel

Maike at the front desk was very gracious, knowledgeable, and helpful. Her advice and the Weihnaktsmarkts was spot-on, including the Strassenbahn lines. Dinner was great, with wonderful service. This is one of the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed at.

Great hotel

Great hotel near koncert venue “live music halle”. Nice room, comfortable bedding. Nice feature with a refrigerator in the room. Public transportation just outside the hotel. Great facilities for workouts in the gym. Very nice sauna. Great restaurant - but only open for dinner.

Our home from home in Köln

Clean modern hotel, conveniently located beside the U-Bahn line into the city centre. There are many lovely parks in this exclusive residential area which makes it a very pleasant place to stay. The bakery on the corner is literally the cherry on top where you indulge in “Kirschplunder” for breakfast.

VIP Access? It seems to be a misunderstanding. The long check-in process required entering a list of personal information on a tablet in the warm reception area. Rooms looked good and felt clean at the first glance, but there were black spots around the Bathtub and the view from the window was to a an unorganized parking space with untrimmed grass.

Felt very safe staying here as a woman travelling alone. Breakfast felt a little limited, service was great then not great, and the bedding is very thin and tired. But it was super clean, had a great outside eating/drinking area, does great pizzas and was the perfect base for working/exploring in Ehrenfeld.

I enjoyed my stay at Ameron. The room was extremely comfortable and the service was excellent. I did not experience the meals during my stay, so I’m not able to give a review based on that. But for everything else, it was a definite joy. Even though it was away from the shopping districts, it was very easy to get there using the tram. Thank you Ameron!

Very modern hotel. All you expect of a modern hotel accept as a Brit no kettle or tea making facility… just a coffee machine. Lovely decor, gorgeous bathroom, lovely big bed. We stayed in a premium room which included parking. Just a Short walk to the tram which was very easy to get into the centre of Cologne.

Nice hotel but rooms are too hot

The hotel is very nice and in a great location. The only complaint we had was the temperature of the room. There was no way to cool the room down even though there was air-conditioning. This was confirmed by two staff members on both days of our stay. This meant the room was very uncomfortable to sleep in, at 23 degrees overnight, measured by the air conditioning system. Opening the windows did help a bit but then there was a lot of street noise.

Air con set at 24* and we couldn’t change it - it was far too hot and airless! Rooms only cleaned on request, meant we had to ask at Reception for toilet paper. Despite, on arrival, the Receptionist insisted that no-one would enter the room unless we invited them by leaving the card on the door, everyday someone did enter when we weren’t there to leave a bottle of water! Breakfast and restaurant service was fantastic.
