“The staff is excellent! They are friendly and helpful to everyone. The hotel is in sad condition but is being renovated. But some things are just housekeeping fix it. Drapes hanging from the rod is not necessary. 1 little bar of soap in the bathroom for the sink and shower.?? The clock is unplugged from behind the bed.? Just the little things. ”

“Overall the property was nice and provided a pleasant stay. Two negatives. The staff were not overly pleasant or inviting (this is hospitality). The second could and should be fixed, The lobby area AC was set at a very low and chilly temperature. I commented and the person behind the counter replied she thought it was comfortable, as she stood before me in a nice warm sweater over her clothes. It wasn't like a restaurant where they may keep the temperature low for the benefit of an active staff.……

“Great welcome from Kim! She was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. I also liked the dedicated parking lot and the short drive to Breton Bay - maybe even a nice walk. Room was a bit pricey, but accommodations were good.”

“We were a little taken by surprise when we arrived that the “cabin” is actually a shed – a literal shed. It is furnished with a full-size bed, loveseat, chair, coffee table, dresser, two tv-trays, and…plenty of mirrors. GOOD: Very lovely location; pets allowed; hot shower; some very basic necessities supplied; heat worked well; wi-fi, comfortable bed and seating; screened in porch; the bottle of wine was a nice touch. BAD: Small fridge only kept cold when turned whole way up; coffee maker did……

“We were in the area for an event but decided to find a nice getaway spot instead of staying in a hotel. This was a little further from the event location but well worth it! The cottage was clean and welcoming, the scenery beautiful, and overall a comfortable, quiet location.”

“I was looking for a nice, quiet, and relaxing, vacation. This property did not disappoint. The house was comfortable, cozy, well stocked, and so clean. The view is incredible. Just sitting outside watching the river was so "Zen". I had one of the most restful vacations ever. I was there for a little over two weeks and I would have stayed longer if I could have, Kim, the host, was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to staying at this beautiful property again.”

“We are a group of 4 childhood friends (now in our 70s) who get together once a year. Seaside Bliss was perfect! The apartment was decorated nicely, very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. As we were there in November, the town was very quiet and some businesses were closed for the season; but it was a short walk to the beach and there were no parking issues! We were pleased that the apartment was as described --- our stay was very enjoyable.”

“This is the place I want to stay any time I visit Colonial Beach. It’s the perfect space for me and a friend. We each get our own room and bathroom, have a huge kitchen to utilize, and it’s right in the center of town.”

“This was our first time in Colonial Beach and we really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart to get around town. The house is beautiful and in a great location close to everything. The homeowner was also great to work with and we’ll definitely be back soon!”

“My family stayed here for a long weekend for our first ever visit to Colonial Beach. The house was perfect for us. It was as clean as it could be and was well appointed. The owner was very responsive and even got us in the house a little early which was nice since we got to town early. I have no complaints at all. The only things I’d note is that the house is in what I’d consider a lower end part of town. Not necessarily somewhere I’d go walking my dog at night but it was always quiet in the……
