“It was a delight to stay in the Shoe which I saw for so many years on the way to visit my extended family in Reading, PA from Baltimore. “I believe this was the cleanest place I have ever stayed at before. Wooden floors throughout you can walk barefoot and not even feel dust under your feet. The house had so much character, it was very comfortable to stay in. The only thing I didnt realize when booking the place was the location. By the pictures it looked like it was located on a back county road but its actually located on a pretty busy road with houses all around it. “This was my second time at this cottage and hope to stay again. It rained the whole time! But, with such a cozy place to read and relax, listen to the rain and enjoy the ambiance it was lovely. I walked for a nice dinner at the Hideaway. I walked to Mt Gretna Mercantile for a few treats and always enjoy chatting with the sweet owners. I had an incredible lunch at Porch and Pantry. All without getting in my car. I highly recommend!”

“Much older home with 2 bathrooms ,one on second floor and one on third floor . There was an awful smell coming from the tub on 3rd, floor. My son being a plumber said it was not vented properly. Bedrooms were all upstairs 2nd and 3rd floor, very comfortable beds and clean, Stairs were narrow and hard to climb for the older ones staying, especially just to go to bathroom. Only 1 parking space for property so any extra vehicles had to park elsewhere away from the house, We had to be dropped off……

“My partner and I stayed here for an early Valentine’s Day getaway. The pictures really don’t do the home justice, it is simply gorgeous & modern looking in person. The backyard was super spacious. “The water park wasn’t open during our stay on May 10-11th but the indoor pool was open. If you don’t have life jackets , buy them before going . There aren’t any available on site to purchase. I tried for days to reach front staff to ask specific questions in relations to my stay but no one ever answered. Once you’re there it’s fun. We won a towel playing power puff girls bingo . We didn’t dine in the restaurant but there were many near by. We also got discount tickets to Dutch Wonderland ”
