“I was very disappointed with this property. It does not feel like a hotel at all, and unfortunately I cannot recommend it. The main issue is the staff. In particular, the evening service staff were quite unpleasant. There was one lady, with dark red hair and glasses, who was especially rude and unprofessional. “Reception staff failed me totally. They pretended to say problem with the rear exit door making a BANGING NOISE when closing. My room 9016 was next to said door/ gate. Constantly BANGING from early morning until late evening. I asked on FOUR occasions for someone to fix the door but nothing happened. “It was a lovely looking hotel with a lovely pool area but a little disorganised where the sunbeds were concerned. The rooms were lovely airy and reasonably clean with some cleaners being better than others as regularly found areas they missed but nothing major. We were most unhappy with the dining area as food that was supposed to be hot under the hot lamps were warm at best! So despite having paid for it we went out most evenings. “We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas. The location is fantastic—just minutes from the beautiful Maspalomas Dunes. From our room we had a gorgeous view overlooking the pool, the green palm trees, the sweeping sand dunes and the sea in the distance. The room itself was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. All the staff were lovely and polite, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The RIU Party on Friday was definitely the highlight—so much fun and absolutely not to……

“ Vi hadde et fint opphold. Maten var veldig lik hver dag, men bra utvalg. Det som trekker oppholdet veldig ned var at vi måtte betale 67 euro for å vaske 12 klesplagg på hotellet. Det lå en liste på rommet som vi skulle krysse av på, men den var ikke lett å forstå og de som vasket rommet snakket bare spansk! Det er helt utrolig at de tar så mye for å vaske klær! Det burde spesifiseres mer da det står at man har mulighet for å vaske klær på hotellet! ”
