“Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. Exceptionally well decorated but not cluttered, in the best location imaginable. Right on the lake surrounded by water on three sides, birds, galore, extremely clean. Yes it is a bit small but that’s part of the point of it. If it were large, you wouldn’t get a few from every single room, nor would it be as special. This is the most exceptional place. Don’t hesitate to you will love every moment. Also, the owner is very responsive and generous.”

“The cottage was spacious, clean and in a great location! A short walk over the bridge to enjoy the beach or stay at the cottage and sit at the water on a beautiful deck and read a book! We took the kayaks out and did a little tour of the canal. It was a great weekend and we all said we would definitely go back!”

“We were there to bird. We had a few days of bad weather and hole up in the houz. It was so comfy. I don’t think I’ve weathered out storms in more comfortable digs. Nights were dark and quiet, making for sound sleep. The kitchen was well equipped and meal prep was easy.”

“We really enjoyed our stay in the loft! It was small but perfect for the two of us. We came for a 3 day getaway to rest and relax and this was the perfect place! The only issue was that we could not log on to the wifi with our laptops. Our phones connected just fine though. The beautiful view out of the floor to ceiling windows and off the deck was so peaceful! And Frank was quick to address any needs we had. Great stay!”

“The cottage is very sweet and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, great windows with good screens throughout each room and in a tranquil setting for a very relaxed and easy vacation. The cottage is as described and feels even prettier in person. Lots of games in the cupboard for rainy days. Our host, Erin, was very responsive. We didn’t use the outdoors spaces but we did see a nice private back yard for those who would want to be outdoors in the summer evenings ahead.”

“We came for a three night visit in early spring, both to do some birding in the region and to observe the total eclipse of the sun. This location was perfect for both. In early April, the yard with its multiple feeders was well stocked with both late winter and early spring birds, and the chance to watch waterbirds pass on the lake was lovely too. Wheatley Provincial Park is right next door, and Point Pelee is just a short drive. The yard has a great firepit and very nice beach access, all of……

Within 15 minutes of the entrance to Pelee National Park by car and 10-15 minutes to Leamington (for grocery stores, etc.). A 5 minute walk to Hillman Marsh Beach et a few minutes more for the conservation area.”
