「Was very happy with the place. Especially having a handicap accessible place」

「We enjoyed our stay at Paul’s cabin. It was a great home base for us as we traveled around the area (Hillman, Alpena, Clear Lake State Park beach, Ocqueoc Falls, and Rogers City). The cabin was comfortable. It was close quarters but suited our needs. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.」

「Perfect location. Home was very spacious and clean.」

「What a fantastic unique place to stay.」

「This place was a great "take a load off and chill" cabin! We had four adults and six children in our party and everyone had such a nice time! The area where the cabin is nice and secluded from hustle and bustle, but there are a few little stores close by (walking or 1-2 minute drive) or bigger grocery/hardware stores about a 10 min drive if needed. 「Place was clean and well kept. It had all the amenities of home and plenty of space for families. Having air conditioning, dish washer, a full kitchen, and washer and dry was also a bonus for managing traveling families.」

「Great location, right on the north branch of the Au Sable River. Great communication with the owner. We had everything we needed.」

「Nice layout with all the immenities」

He was friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the area — he alone deserves a star! The stay itself was okay. The area was beautiful, and the community was very friendly. The place has a lot of potential, but I think it could really benefit from a deep clean and some minor renovations. When I first...

「Peaceful location. Good couples getaway!」

「Very spacious and relaxing. We enjoyed our stay here so that we could be close to family staying up here as well.」

「This cottage on Lake Avalon was very well suited for our family reunion. The kids and grandkids LOVED the water activity with an ample supply of fun (kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, the floating trampoline, canoe, etc) ...so much fun.The house worked out great with super fast and solid wi-fi, any kitchen utensil and dish you could ask for, 2 fridges, lots of towels, blankets, bed space, and bathrooms. Huge kitchen island for gathering :-)The outdoor space is king here, with the very large patio,...
