Four stays in while visiting family in a nearby town and we will keep coming back here as our home away from home. Cannot rate Coonawarra Place Motor Inn highly enough. Staff are always friendly and helpful, the rooms are perfectly homely and the location is breathtaking no matter the weather. Thank you once again, looking forward to our next stay.

My second time staying here and its beautiful. The gardens and lawn areas surrounding the hotel are a real delight and the owners are fantastic, they offer a free shuttle in and out of town of a night time for meals which is incredible. The daily continental breakfast supplied in your room is also well received. Such a great experience I highly recommend.

Great location to walk to a few wineries, or base yourself for the tours. Grounds are large with a central BBQ area, but plenty of room not to impose. Short drive to Penola for any essentials.

We knew we were going to be late so we phoned & the key was put in a safe place. The air con was on & the room nice & warm on our arrival. Continental breakfast was just as it was when I used to work there back in the late 80's. We dined in the restaurant on the Sat night. Nice to be a guest rather than the waitress. Is not too far from Penola, or any of the wineries 😊

Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Complimentary continental breakfast was very welcome as there are no nearby places to get breakfast. Enjoyed a quiet seat on the rear patio overlooking a pretty garden. Staff were helpful and friendly.

This is easily one of the best available Motels for Coonawarra wineries, location wise. There are at least 6 excellent wineries within comfortable walking distance. The property is most likely almost 30 years old. But is in superb condition and its obvious that the owners care. As it is well kept, comfortable and well maintained. I would highly recommend this motel, especially if you intend to enjoy some wine from the area.
