"My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon and we loved the property. We stayed during low season and it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful of any place I've ever stayed. Our casita was spotless and well appointed. It was nice coming back to the room each night to find the cookies that were left for us during the turndown services. The prices were very fair and the food was excellent. We didn't get a chance to eat in a couple of the restaurants because the property wasn't busy enough for the them to open. Which was fine, we understand that they're not going to open just for us. We met another couple in the pool on our first day and they said they thought the food on property was some of the best they had on the island. I would say it's as good as some of the best we had on the island for sure. Overall, we loved our stay and if we find ourselves back in San Pedro, we'll definitely be at Matachica."
