I’m so tired of paying full price and receiving discount results! We returned to our room at the end of the day only to find it had not been serviced. Had to call and request fresh towels so we could shower before dinner. Stopped at the desk on our way to dinner to let them know our room had not been serviced. Clerk said housekeeping was gone for the day but she would send someone up to pick up wet towels and take out trash. She said they could not make the bed. When I asked why the room was not serviced I was told it was probably our fault! Clerk said we may have left the privacy sign out or left items on the bed. We did neither. We completely unpacked upon arrival and placed our luggage in the closet. Other than wet towels in the bathroom and an unmade bed the room was relatively clean. Housekeeping was on our floor cleaning rooms near ours when we left around 10am. I don’t know what the mixup was but I do know that having a clean well serviced room is a normal expectation when reserving a room. It’s part of what we paid for after all. Really wanted to like this hotel. It is right on the beach but the area around it is a little sketchy. Homeless people sleeping on the beach, run down businesses and hotels around the Double Tree and a maze of road construction all combined to really detract from what should have been a wonderful weekend at the beach

Nice property, surrounded by not so nice hotels and very noisy highway bridge. Parking was very inconvenient with a separate hotel QR Code vendor that was hard to navigate.

My only gripe with this and I heard it from several other guests as well was the paid parking thing. I would expect that if I'm paying premium for a location such as this, the parking fee is waived off for guests. Otter than that I recommend this location to anyone.

The beds are super comfy. It's in walking distance to the ship and a few decent restaurants. Great beach view.
