I feel that any future guest should be aware of my actual review. It’s advertised as kid friendly and I hate to think a child being attacked by the red ants in the yards.
The inside of the home was spotless! It had fresh towels and linens, most kitchen utensils plus fun games! The TVs and internet were great too!
The outside was another story. There was a large bush at the front walkway that was overgrown and made it difficult to drag luggage through. There were also red biting ants all over the front and back patios.
A main point for us and this house was the grill, as advertised in the listing title and description. We were in town for our son’s Navy celebration and the one thing I wanted was to have a nice family BBQ to celebrate. Soon after check in, we discovered that the grill was disgustingly filthy and could not be used to cook food on. I texted Vacasa and informed them and asked if someone could come clean the grill and bring ant spray. I provided pictures of the grill. I was told a report would be made and someone from their local team would reach out, but an ETA could not be provided. So we changed our dinner plans.
The next day we got back to the house around noon, no one had reached out but we did see that someone did come cut the bush, and barely scraped one corner of the grill, but it still was not clean to use. The ants were still very active. I texted again, sent a picture of the grill and was told a report was made, someone from their local team would reach out and an ETA could not be provided. So we changed our dinner plans again.
When we returned on our last full day and night, no one had reached out and the grill nor ants were taken care of. I texted Vacasa again and they responded they had no ETA and someone from their local team would reach out soon. My husband bought bug spray and started to clean the grill himself. He realized it would take over an hour to clean it to be close to useable, then noticed that the grill didn’t even work. I texted Vacasa yet again with a picture of the pile of food and grease that he did scrape up, and informed them that the grill wasn’t working. I was told a report would be made, someone from their local team would reach out and an ETA could not be provided. It was our last night, and we changed dinner plans again, and gave the groceries to our son.
I was extremely disappointed in the lack of customer service and action to address our concerns over a 72 hour period. I kept getting the same response of “a report has been made and someone from the local team will reach out and no ETA could be provided”. This should not be how a rental property management company operates.
It is apparent there isn’t landscaping or pest services, and the cleaning/maintenance team, does not pay attention to the grill and making sure it is actually clean, working and ready to use.
Lastly, someone really should lock the door to the garage with the owners vehicle and personal belongings.
